Max turned in a really great performance in The Harder They Fall. A great boxing movie, even though it was an anti-boxing movie.

Re: The Max Baer TV & Movie thread
Wanna see Max Baer with some really cool looking ahead of the time sideburns and wearing a fringe-jacket
like like the get-up worn by "Billy" in Easy Rider ?
then check him out as "Tiny" in the 1943 "oater" BUCKSKIN FRONTIER
(He is in the movie from the beginning but the real action begins at 26.05 of this clip")

Re: The Max Baer TV & Movie thread
How much do you think that keg of nails that Max Baer picks up at 3:30 of the clip weighed ?
I seem to remember he also was told to pick up a keg in the 1933 movie
THE PRIZE FIGHTER AND THE LADY in the saloon scene.
they seem to snicker when he does it.
Someone in Hollywood must have got a kick seeing him pick up a keg for some reason.

A keg of nails weighs 100 pounds and picking one up just like that is not as easy as you may think.
