Is Haye capable to tackle Joshua?

I think Anthony Joshua would definitely have a good chance against Haye, but at the end of the day it is just not going to happen. Hearn will not put his man in with Haye any time soon. There's no gains of rushing AJ into that fight. There will be plenty of massive pay days ahead of Joshua, whereas Haye is already on borrowed time.

It's funny because Joshua isn't calling people out, even Hearn is saying Joshua is in his early development. Everyone else is calling Joshua out, cause they recognise that he's vulnerable now and it'd make decent money. Joshua is quietly going about his business, training hard, and taking each hurdle as it comes. The next hurdle will likely be Chisora, if not maybe Jennings or Stiverne. Once he overcomes that challenge, it'll be the next step, which will maybe an eliminator for a world title. Hearn doesn't have to chase big purses, because the money will follow him wherever he goes, as we all saw with the numbers in the Whyte fight.

If Haye can get himself up the rankings, and in contention for a world title fight, then their paths will cross inevitably. I honestly think that him and Ortiz should get in the ring together. They're both nearing the latter end of their careers, and are both amazing fighters, and need each other at the moment. Definitely a prospect for the latter part of the year, maybe September? Ortiz fights March 5, and Haye May 21, could be good timing, and Ortiz is struggling to draw attention of decent fighters.

Haye should be looking to fry bigger fish at the moment, even if he is just back after a hiatus & having fought a corpse.

I don't see anything wrong with calling out Joshua.

Yeah you're absolutely right, Haye knows exactly what he's doing, and why he's doing it. He's trying to nip Joshua in the bud before he gets out of sight. Doesn't matter though because Hearn will keep him away. Haye will likely say that Joshua is 'avoiding him' but it that doesn't matter either. Haye can't just call out who he likes, he needs to earn his fights, and his last fight versus De Mori was probably what his first fight after 3.5 years out deserved. He's ranked 48 (on BoxRec) and needs to realise he isn't the big scalp currently. He might be able to draw a couple top 10 with money because he can sell a fight, but he won't draw someone like Joshua.

Well, if it was a straight choice between those two, you'd obviously go for Joshua, especially if you're not 100% confident in yourself.

There are other fighters out there too.

I'm not expecting Haye to be going straight into the deep end, but I do believe that Joshua is still a little raw, even if he is the British & Commonwealth champion & I believe Haye should be setting his sights a little higher if he is serious about this comeback.

Tussling with Joshua right now might get some folk excited & sell out an arena, but I believe now is not the time for these two to meet.

Haye should be positioning himself in a way that makes Anthony Joshua want to fight him, not the other way around.

Remember, Haye is the star; the former Cruiserweight & Heavyweight champion who has been inactive longer than Joshua has been a professional.

Haye calling out Joshua now makes AJ look like the star, when he is anything but at the moment.

Replace yourself in Joshua, he got much to lose against Haye, nothing to win, so basically he would be nuts to accept the fight. Ortiz on the other hand is quite high ranked, got avoided by everyone abd allmost desperately wants to prove himself. If Haye wins he got a top ranking straight away, if Ortiz wins he gains a lot of fame and money, exactly where he's after. I see no reason to avoid each other, except for fear, and let's get real, Haye is a coward who's after money and nothing else.

Looking at both boy's last fight especially Joshua doing a slight crab walk after Whyte hit him on the chin I'd say Haye should chase a fight with Joshua ASAP because in a year or two when Joshua is a more complete fighter Haye will look like a blown up Cruiserweight
when Joshua blast him out of it
