AND AJ BATTERED WHYTE IN 7th!!AJ WOULD KILL PARKER.
I haven't checked it, but I believe him blind.
Anyone who's boxed obviously knows better than to make a conclusion that person A would "KILL" person B based on person As faster victories. If boxing was a race to see who KOS fast then Whyte is faster but you don't have to have boxed to know that it doesn't mean Parker should just look at that and be scared and roll over and die.

The stats are probably correct but his conclusion is PROOF the writer has never boxed for a season. Has never understood styles. He just looked up the stats, saw that Whyte stats was better and thought to himself "YES! YES! This proves AJ would kill Parker, I can't wait to tell everyone on youtube who the winner would be". Sounds stupid right?..even more stupid to believe in his stupid conclusion.
I know there are exceptions, but overall I think Whyte is simply much better as most people seem to realise.

Let's go back to YouTube..now on YouTube you will find clips of people's top 10 or so HW prospects, on those lists PEOPLE have put the boxers they feel are either contenders or prospects for 2016. Parker is on a lot of the PEOPLES list. Why does Whyte NOT feature on people's top 10 list but Parker does?

Why is no one talking about Whyte as much as they are the "inferior" Parker.

Parker has already stepped up quite smartly for 17 fights. His best opponent was ranked 18, he has fought others that were ranked 35,52,61,72,78 and 91. While you might say that's not great look what the others are doing.

Anthony Joshua has fought 4 top 50 opponents but the best was ranked 36.

Mate, that's solid proof that Parkers had the tougher path in regards to opposition when compared to Whyte and Joshua. I've heard so many boxing experts say so before but now there's the evidence. Thanks for the link.

That's just proof Parker fought old but still high ranked Minto and won, but Minto lost his next match against a cruiserweight kickboxer that fought another two fights at the same day and never won a single match before.
Some old but still high ranked Brazilian, same story, there's a reason Whyte KOed him in two rounds later on, just like many others after them.
Kali Meehan same story, worth a lot of points, but the fight was mainly created to hand those points over and nothing else. Just watch the fight and the comments of Kali around the match.
If Joshua KOes Martin, Scott, Thompson, Tarver and Stiverne next month he will reach a top rank in no time, while in fact many rank 100ths are a lot more though.

Geez you seem to have an excuse for all of Parkers opponents. Every single Parker opponent you've mentioned, you devalue.

I'm not sure Joshua would get most of those fights you mentioned. If he does and wins, he definitely deserves a title shot.

Just look at the list for yourself otherwise, Parkers wins are nice, but it's not like he did mission impossible, I'm more impressed about Whyte for example.

Tarver is an elderly, Stiverne has never been a real top boxer, his whole carreer is pretty much based on his winnings over Arreola, Thompson is an elderly as well, Scott is a diver, I wouldn't be surprised if Martin was actually the best of them all at this moment, somehow every single one of them would be easy work for Joshua as well as Whyte at this moment.

Whyte's not really beaten anyone. My take was that he was pretty raw in terms of boxing but looked like he could really pack a punch. Schooled fighters can avoid big punchers so it is not definite that Whyte beats Tony Thompson in fact I would bet Thompson atm. I think Whyte v Joshua was at the right time for both fighters it made Whyte some nice money, it was a good performance his stock rose a bit but he only really had 1 good round. Stiverne is another fighter that can just outwork and outpoint, pretty boring really but at the Whyte level he usually wins. Maybe Whyte can learn and get better, but he will need to be boring/disciplined.

The problem with asdfg statement is that you have dissed pretty much every heavyweight and on that basis nobody has really fought anybody. It is true that most people just avoid each other but I am pretty certain someone that has fought 4 top 50 opponents is better than somebody thats only beaten someone ranked 77 then had a bundle of non top 100 fights. Nothing is certain but it is usually because their handlers know they may get beat it happened with David Price and Audley Harrison they can't win at the top 20 level.

Fighters like Steve Cunningham, Stiverne, Thompson, Chisora are the real gatekeepers of the top 10. Malik Scott I really do not understand because he seemed to give up in his two losses, up until the end I thought he had the better of Chisora. There are top 20 gatekeepers and at every level you have fighters with 24-16-2 records that can still win but just get over-matched.

I've watched most of Whytes fights that are available on youtube. Including the amateur bout where Whyte knocks Joshua out beautifully. Whyte is a beast however when you look at his record, Minto and Joshua are the best names on there and Joshua he lost too.

Now compare that to Parkers record. Joseph has fought a lot of nobody's as well but when you look carefully you'll see that a lot of these names have made it to the big stage.

-Meehan has fought for a title, which of Whyte opponents has fought for a world title? No one
-Francois Botha has fought Mike Tyson, Evander Holy field and Lennox Lewis. Which of Whytes opponents has gone rounds with at least one of these 3? No one

Meehan and Botha both passed their prime when Parker fought them but those 2 are known names. The only known name that Whytes fought is one whom he knocked out in the amateurs (Joshua) and to say Whytes progressed since the amateurs he had to do it again but he didn't. He definitely wobbled Joshua a bit but as Lennox mentioned that was Whytes only highlight for that night.

Parker is younger, faster, had more fights and undefeated. He should be matched up with another undefeated like Joshua not Whyte (with all respect to Whyte).

Every opponend both Whyte, as well as Parker fought ( Minto, Irineu Beato Costa Junior, Marcelo Luiz Nascimento ) have been KOed faster by Whyte as by Parker.
If all three opponends have been KOed significantly faster by Whyte, it's at least fair to say that Whyte got a very serious chance against Parker.

Dude its not a race. Boxing is not a race to see who KOS whom faster. Theres too many factors. If that's your logic then you need to learn more about boxing and I would hide your last post before anyone sees how you come to your conclusions.

There's no doubting Whyte has a chance against Parker but you're reasons being for Whyte is simply tunnel vision ed.

Whyte needs to step up and win. Parker needs to do the same. Parker fighting Whyte at this stage, is a step down for Parker.

One Whyte punch can make the difference, AJ also struggled with it, I still think Whyte got a fair chance against Parker.
Parker has never been seriously hit before has he? AJ gave Whyte a shitload of beats, but he kept standing longer as anyone ever has against AJ during his pro carreer. I'm not changing my mind yet, I haven't seen Parker's chin tested yet and I have seen Whyte's chin tested and it was quite impressive.

In other words, if Whyte indeed fights Frank Bruno, you'll suddenly think Whyte is indeed far superior to Parker?

I'm sorry mate, but your logic makes far less sense as the KO speed I wrote about.

No I didn't say if this IF that..I didn't say any IFS. I have jus pointed out the facts. Parker has fought Botha, Minto and Meehan. Whyte has fought Joshua (lost by KO) and Minto. That's all I'm saying is the facts, what has happened is what I'm saying.

Now what you're saying HAS NOT happened. What you're saying is a theory based on who knocks out who faster. I agree that Whyte vs Parker would be great. I just think your conclusions based on past fights (this person is better because they KO'd this guy faster) is tunnel visioned.

You did say that Parker fought against guys that went further in their carreers as any of the opponends of Whyte and gave Botha and Meeham as examples. Now I think those fights against elderly don't prove much, but you say that if Parker now fights Whyte, then Parker is taking a step down.
So I gave Bruno as an example for Whyte to fight, that would make Whyte at least just as good, since Bruno also fought Lewis and Tyson even several times. Now I disagree with that since Bruno is an elderly now as well, so winning against him doesn't prove much, but according to your logic, by taking Botha and Meeham serious...

If you look at Whytes record of opponents that he has fought, none of them had a title shot like Meehan or NONE of Whytes opponents has fought anyone with the experience of Botha (Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis). That's all I said is what Parker has DONE!! And what Whyte has DONE!!

I've mentioned what they've DONE!! NOT if this or what if that. I'm just telling you Parker fought this guy and what this guy has DONE!!
asdfjkl wrote:So I gave Bruno as an example
Example?? I am talking about what HAS HAPPENED not what if. I am telling you who Parker has fought and what some of those opponents have DONE!! Far out..We're not talking about what if, we're talking about the fact that so and so HAS fought this person.

Yeah I think so. While it'll be a good fight, when Parker wins, people will say 'he needs to step up'. He's undefeated, to step up I think he needs to fight an undefeated fighter. Fighting Joshua is a step up.

Statiscally its not even close. Parker has fought better opposition. The lesser opponents Parker has fought, Whyte has Ko'd quicker, but its not all about that. Subjectively I see Whyte can punch but can he win fights on points, you need both. I saw Whyte as pretty raw but he could get better. I think Whyte has a chance against anyone but if I was going to bet it would be Parker. I think the bookies would have him 1-3 on.
