I think the only thing that goes for Chisora is he's definitely ambitious. Apparently AJ has 'nothing to offer' despite holding the British and Commonwealth belts, and would be mandatory for the European. A fight with AJ would also propel Del Boy up the rankings (providing he won) and give him a HUGE payday. If that's not offering much, then I don't know what is. What's Pulev offering? A smaller payday, and no belts? Maybe he just fancies a jolly in Bulgaria?
It's very clear that Chisora is avoiding AJ like the plague, which is arguably a wise choice as I don't think that Chisora would trouble Joshua at all. He doesn't have the tools, or the intelligence to knock AJ out (which he'd have to as I don't see him taking AJ the distance). To be honest, it didn't seem like either Hearn or Sauerland were desperate to make that fight either, I don't really know why.
I don't think that Chisora's company in the ring says anything about his boxing ability, otherwise we'd be talking about Kevin Johnston who'd gone the distance with Fury and Vitali (albeit a few years back). Chisora has experience, but unfortunately I don't see that as being enough to stop AJ splattering him across the ring. It definitely looks as though there could be a dust up between Chisora and Whyte in the next 12 months though, once Whyte's shoulder is fully recovered. I see Whyte stopping Chisora comfortably inside the distance though.
If Chisora passes the Pulev test, and AJ past his next opponent, it'd be nice to see their paths cross sooner rather than later, and finally fight for the European, as I still think the fight would be an entertaining spectacle. Chisora is after one last big payday/world title shot before his inevitable retirement.
