I make no apologies for thinking he's an absolute prat. The way he tried to get McCracken the sack via The Sun was a particular low.

And whenever someone picks a knockover mystery man to look good against, and it backfires in spectacular fashion - then that pleases me no end.

But here we have Khan showing real stupidity if you ask me.

I've just finished watching Will Smith in "Concussion" and it shows American footballers brain injuries, sending them crazy and into an early graves - all from knocking heads. I've said it a few times, that a serious knockout can take several years to recover from - and it can leave people more susceptible to being knocked out easier the second time round.

Many a boxer has suffered from incredible personality disorders and they've all been bashed or banged out in their careers - from Bruno to Jermain Taylor.

He could have been in real bother against Kell, let alone another step up in size against Canelo.

Secondly, I don't for one moment think he'll come close to earning what he'd earn for a Brook/Wembley showdown. I think once people get over the "wow" factor and actually be real about this fight, then they will probably think it's a bit of health risk for Khan.

Don't see where it would be though, Citizen Khan's at the arena that night so they'd either have to find another venue in Manchester, if there is one, or take it outside Manchester, which doesn't really make sense.

Velodrome? Everyone who was at his last fight says it was a lot less than full.

I was pretty shocked to see this announced. The smart money has to be on a devastating KO with Khan on the wrong end of it. But....part of me wonders if the Khan camp know something we don't. He's been out of the ring for a while so has he packed on some weight? If he has and kept most of his speed it could make for a far more interesting contest than it has any right to be.

Didn't pick you as a cynical type of fella, mate?
Haha

Unfortunately I'm not sure holding that view makes me all that cynical

I will be *fascinated* to see khans in-ring weight

I'm sure we will see his time out of the ring has been put to good use, with an extensive *strength and conditioning* programme, some very scientific *protein shakes*, and of course a few nights out with that little scamp *kid galahads brother*

^^ I know we're operating now purely in the realm of chances that have to be measured with some sort of quantum tunnelling microscope, but I for one wouldn't be at all surprised to see Amir call out GGG if he wins this.

He's that b̶r̶a̶v̶e̶ m̶e̶n̶t̶a̶l̶ brave.
I've gone for Khan points, bro'. Canelo can join One Direction if he loses.

I think you could be wrong. Brook is never as big a ppv draw than canelo is. Khan just wants the payday but he'll have to take a tough beat down before he gets that. Khan doesn't have the defensive nous to outwit canelo, but there could be a clause where canelo has to come in at at certain weight on fight night
British fans see big crowds and think they will bring in more money. It is simply not true. There is a reason Brits fight abroad, site fees & TV piss on what Sky pay. PPV boosts purses, but do people honestly think a decent US PPV will be outstripped by a British one. It is ludicrous.

A writer tried telling me that Froch-Chavez on PPV would have done less than Froch-GGG in UK. Yeah, the UK brings in huge revenues, that is why we make the Avengers films here in the UK.

I did Amir for BM talking big US fights. People laughed it off. Like him or not, he has something the US likes, which is why he has this one.

Article link if anyone is interested:

http://www.boxingmonthly.com/stories/in ... amir-khan/
No doubt big fights in the US can generate big sums but people seem to automatically assume that Khan will get a decent slice of this purse. Same with the mayweather fight, the total sum would have been huge but mayweather would not have given him much. Canelo is the star and will get at least 60% of total revenues. The UK ppv market value is well known now so people will want part of that.

Is he going to make £10m? I'd say no. If this fight is a big seller then it is down to canelo, Khan is just a named b side. Against Brook he'll be the a side and have the hefty chunk of the purse

Being serious - does khan hold dual nationality with Pakistan? If he has a pakistani passport can he get out of the PPV situation with Hearn by some sort of loophole?

Terrible fight. Khan will get ko'd early doors. He has not got the power to trouble canelo at all and there is no way he will take canello's shots. I reckon it will be all over in two rounds or less. Its also quite clear that canelo and his team don't want anything to do with GGG.

Seem to remember in that recent IFilm interview with George and Frank W@rren they'd already had talks with SKY about putting on a SKY Box Office PPV this May! I reckon this might be B0xnati0ns first PPV show.

I can't believe this is for the lineal middleweight title. Shame on Canelo. I hope Khan somehow pulls it off, just for the audacity of Canelo and the WBC allowing this fight to happen.

While my money would be on an Albarez stoppage, I think this says a lot about Khan, Brook would also be big money and the easiest fight out there at this level.
Khan's speed will def cause him problems. PBF showed the way to beat him, of course Khan is not PBF but speed and movement will be the way to do it and Khan has that in abundance.
I can see Khan, using the right tactics, sailing into a lead and the decide to have a tear up!
