Oh indeed, as I cant tire of saying today, fvck Alvarez.SNG wrote:I can't believe this is for the lineal middleweight title. Shame on Canelo. I hope Khan somehow pulls it off, just for the audacity of Canelo and the WBC allowing this fight to happen.
In fact in future I will only ever refer to him as fvck Alvarez. I'll take the bit of extra time to call him fvck Alvarez, every time. The ratfuck.
Re: Khan v Canelo May 7th!
I'm praying for Khan using his speed and jab to pepper him early then after a few rounds a lovely clash of heads leading to a stoppage and Khan taking the title on the cards.
I'll be dreaming about that for weeks.

Serves Hearn right. Thinks he owns the game in the UK. SKY SPORTS will show this. Doubtful PPV though. Not in its own.

even if khan could remain onhis feet for 12 rounds against canelo, there is no way he would ever get a decision ...even if he deserved it. his management are making an inspired cash out play by throwing him to the wolves in this one. he has no chance in this fight , but they figure that they can get two big paydays rather than the one. i suppose it makes financial sense.
i feel sorry for brook though, was looking forward to seeing him splatter khan.

Massive respect to Khan he wants to fight the best and does!

Win/Win situation for Khan. He gets a huge payday and even if he gets smashed early it won't impact his pull as a Welterweight. Very smart move.

With all due respect, fcuk brook, maybe if he had faced one or two more top opponents in his career he wouldn't have to bang on about Khan constantly.jimcook wrote:even if khan could remain onhis feet for 12 rounds against canelo, there is no way he would ever get a decision ...even if he deserved it. his management are making an inspired cash out play by throwing him to the wolves in this one. he has no chance in this fight , but they figure that they can get two big paydays rather than the one. i suppose it makes financial sense.

Khan's (black) and Brook's (red) best 10 results in order:keirw wrote:With all due respect, fcuk brook, maybe if he had faced one or two more top opponents in his career he wouldn't have to bang on about Khan constantly.
Marcos Maidana
Shawn Porter
Andriy Kotelnik
Zab Judah
Paulie Malignaggi
Devon Alexander
Luis Collazo
Lamont Peterson (Lost)
Chris Algieri
Julio Diaz
Vyacheslav Senchenko
Rafal Jackiewicz
Frankie Gavin
Carson Jones I
Matthew Hatton
Ionut Dan Ion
Lovemore Ndou
Paul McCloskey
Michael Jennings
Carson Jones II
That's my rough order of their best results ranked against each other and Khan dominates.
It really wouldn't be difficult for Brook to vastly improve his record this year just by defending against fairly standard world level opposition.
Brook has to earn a Khan fight. He makes it too easy for the top fighters to avoid him. If Hearn can't get top 10 opposition over here (which he really should be able to do) then Brook has got to go to America to fight them.

canelo isn't a fast blow out type of fighter if he ends up slowy beating khan up for 10 rds it could ruin khan ,i don't think it's a very smart move at all

I can see Brook-Bizier been even more sluggish at the box office now. I'm just intrigued to see who Kell calls out afterwards. Thurmam, Porter? Neither of which will be in England.

Would Bradley travel to the UK again? I think he'd go for Garcia in the US.mickey1975 wrote:I can see Brook-Bizier been even more sluggish at the box office now. I'm just intrigued to see who Kell calls out afterwards. Thurmam, Porter? Neither of which will be in England.
Re: Khan v Canelo May 7th!
Brook does fight Bizier in March, but that's because he has a mandatory World title defence. The idea was to get it out of the way March, to open up a super fight in the summer. I'm sorry but how can you be criticised for being world champion and defending against world level opponents? Neither Brook or Hearn are in control of the mandatory opponents, and it's the responsibility of being world champion. Okay his other fights outside of mandatory challenges are in their control, but it's not like time is against Brook, those fights will come. Kahn was supposed to be that move to bigger fights.ste1983 wrote:Massive respect to Khan he wants to fight the best and does!

I'm also not that convinced he's getting more money with the Alvarez fight than he would have got for the Brook fight. Considering he was being offered the lions share of the split from the Brook fight, I doubt he's being offered anything over 40% for Alvarez. Also 80'000 sell out, and inevitable PPV (Britain does a remarkable sales in PPV against US).
I look forward to the fight non-the-less, and will be interesting to see how Kahn gets on carrying the extra weight.

As for not getting more money, are you kidding yes the UK does good figures but in the states they pay easily double for PPV. Not to mention Canelo is a big figth worldwide (Brook is only a big fight over here) so then you add in all the other countries/tv stations paying to pick it up etc.
