this .....i could see khan winning 4 of the first 6 rounds as canelo is bit of a slow burner but it seems nearly impossible to get a points win over canelo ,i thought lara beat him and he mayweather only got a SD i think . saul points is 4-1 i'll put a tenner on it

I agree, starting four rounds down means that even if khan boxes out of his skin, he'll likely get a draw at best. Draw is worth a cheeky punt.

Lot of Khan haters surfaced on social media again. I really don't get why. He always comes across as a really nice lad, he genuinely does loads for charity and doesn't speak about it. He's done loads for his local community and is a fine role model for young, British muslims.

The only negatives I can think of is he refers to himself in the 3rd person, but that seems par for the course with boxers and there was that bit of nonsense with the webcam...If thats all they managed to drag up on him he can't be bad.

I love watching him fight, he's never in a dud. I'd much rather see him v Canelo than in with Brook.

I don't understand it either. I think the common thought about Khan is that he is in it solely for the money as opposed to the prestige. That is not a notion that bothers me too much, I just want to see the best fights possible. Khan's stock has gone up even more since I saw Eddie's reaction to it, like a spoiled little child.

I really like Amir and hope he does well. What makes this fight so intriguing is what Khan will look like with an extra 8 pounds. If he can carry that speed and box well then there is a possibility that he may make Alvarez look a bit silly at times, but the fear is about him getting caught, and you imagine that it will happen.

Do it. You'll probably never have as much cash in your hand again (imagining you get a good pay-off) and you can always do a bit of temping if nothing comes up straight away. Plus you can sign on for JSA on the weds/thurs go Vegas to live the life and come back the following week so earn while you burn!

khan boxes better when he is underdog/challenger (maidani / kolecin (sp) / barrera / etc)

he is at his worse when he is over looking them (Peterson/Prescott/Garcia) - remember Garcia was a last minute sub to Peterson rematch, same with Prescott

That would be fkin hilarious, khan and Brook one-upping each other over who got their brains bashed in by the better fighter.

You can slate Khan's chin but he's taken ful force clean punches from Maidana and survived. He has a greater reach and faster foot and hand speed which means he should start off well and wouldn't be surprised to see him win the first few rounds as Canelo is a bit fat flooted and plods along. But canelo is accurate and you would have to think that he will cut the ring off and force Khan to engage and the greater power and size will pay off. I think Khan will do himself proud but ultimately be stopped in about 7 or 8

im indifferent to khan outside the ring i do think he gets some unwarranted stick at times but i guess it comes with the territory of fame and saying the odd daft thing, but i have to say when i first watched him live vs malignaggi, his hand speed blew me away and the americans inside msg. The mans hand speed is incredible.
