Tyson v Berbick
Quite impressive in hindsight. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be expecting Tyson to blow Berbick away quite so effortlessly.
It's interesting to think how much of Mikes reputation in the 80's came off of that one win. It immediately erased any doubts that might have lingered from less than invincible showings against Tillis and Green.
Agreed....and the overall context of the fight is very interesting as well.

Tyson - in some quarters - was still considered too young for this challenge and whilst Berbick was (rightly) not considered a great champion or a monumental step up in class; Mike's youth was viewed as a dangerous/unpredictable factor.

Had he been too pushed too far, too soon in a division where most fighters did not do their best work far later than folk in the lower weight classes?
The way Mike wrecked Berbick sent shockwaves through the division and the wider sporting world. Even now; it is still a hell of a take-down.

As Frank Bruno is struggling again I'd also make mention of the way he totally blitzed Coetzee - a bit sentimental I know - but leaving Gerrie prone like that (literally half out of the ring) was a heck of an achievement and it was a stunning example of Bruno's massive power.

For pure brutality maybe.....perhaps the Cooney vs Norton KO gives it a run.

Jackson Graham.. devastating punch, especially given the context with the Bomber schooling him and then failing to win the world title.
Hearns Duran as well.
Also not one punch in particular byr Foremans assault of Frazier was a stunning exhibition of KO power.

I always laugh when the great Tommy Hearns decapitated the Hands of Stone. What a punch! You could he's it from the tv set. My favorite fighter is Roberto Duran. I liked the KO. The Hitman was awesome that night. I don't see no one, with the exception of the great Mike McCallum beating The Hitman. But, on that night, I can't see nobody, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY, beating Hearns.

When Duran KO'd Ray Lampkin. That was a beauty. A perfectly timed left hook. A great ending for a great fight.

Smokin' Joe left hook against the great Bob Foster was another great KO in my view.

The great Mike Tyson knockout reels. Too many to choose. Especially, one that I saw that he sent an opponent flying to the ropes. I have never seen nothing like that. And that brutal KO that he gave Marvin Frazier makes me cringe thinking about it.

And talking about knockouts, I can't leave the Julian "The Hawk" Jackson brutal KO win against Herol Graham. What a punch! Graham was out! OMG! Jackson also has some impressive knockout reels to see.

Manny v Hatton was a monster punch.

Marquez v Manny was a nuclear shot and came against the run of the fight.

Leva Kirakosyan knocked Carl Johansson out twice, they were both very impressive knockouts, the first in particular was a missile of a right hand.
