Dublin Ireland: Shooting at a Weigh in
Re: Dublin Ireland: Shooting at a Weigh in
Big time gangsters are involved with a well known gym in Marbella, some of those involved may have been at the weigh in. A boxer from the gym got about 12 years for drug offences, Jamie Moore got shot on the legs last year you t there. A bad scene.

Re: Dublin Ireland: Shooting at a Weigh in
steve collins' son was assasinated in a casino there a few years back, also.
despite having strict gun control laws ireland is chock full of illegal firearms.
i'm not sure if the cops ever started carrying over there but they never used
to back in the day. they still don't have anywhere like the south side of chicago
or east st. louis or the east LA, though. i was surprised to see gang tags and
lots of organized hoodlum areas last time i was there. it had been about 10
years since the last time i visited and it had changed so much. i think a lot
of heroine and hard drugs may have been always around but maybe i was just
too young to know about it growing up

Re: Dublin Ireland: Shooting at a Weigh in
I'm sure Paschal Collins had his pro debut against a boxer from Doncaster, called Nick - he stopped him in the first round. The lad from Doncaster became a prison officer, he was a contemporary of Alvin Miller and Carl Tilley; someone else may throw more light on this bout that is not on Collins's record.
Re: Dublin Ireland: Shooting at a Weigh in
COULD THESE GANG WARS MEAN THE END OF PRO BOXING IN SOUTH OF IRELAND
Re: Dublin Ireland: Shooting at a Weigh in
