It feels like a rare talent is being wasted. I just want to see the division unified and dominated

Agreed.
Golovkin is right at the zenith of his powers & no one seems to want to fight him.
I was really hoping that Canelo might have wanted to tussle with him, but he prefers to fight part-time light weltwerweights at 155lbs!![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

As long as GGG fights the best available to him in terms of many respects and maintains himself there's no way they can avoid the man.
Tell him to hang in there so to speak.

Yes no one give him that fighting respect which he deserves.

They give him the utmost respect , they avoid him because he's so good . None of his last 20 fights went the distance . Gennady either knocked them out or made them quit .Davidreed wrote:Yes no one give him that fighting respect which he deserves.
Saunders or Alvarez hopefully will fight him this year .

Were you saying that when billie joe saunders refused to fight him for a what was by far a career best purse?Lancenix wrote:Al;l North Americans by the way. The G-Train needs to move to 168. He is wasting his time at 160 where no one seems to have any pride or ambition. Time to dip his toes in a bigger division.

... and Eubank Jr made a step backward to fight for a British title instead of challenging Jacobs or Golovkin.jockpunk wrote:Were you saying that when billie joe saunders refused to fight him for a what was by far a career best purse?Lancenix wrote:Al;l North Americans by the way. i would not mind the ducking so much if he
was younger, but he is in his thirties and i
would think his aggressive power style does
not allow for a unusually long career. so it
could very well be that one of the best boxers
of this generation is never seen in a great
matchup.
in a way this feels like manny-floyd back in
the day when they should have fought.

Not all that much up there, to be honest. Abraham, Chudinov, Jack, and DeGale haven't proven anything special. I think he is better off pounding guys out at 160, whilst waiting for Alvarez and Saunders to step up, and waiting for men like Andrade, Charlo brothers, etc. to move up.Baby Face Finster wrote:The G-Train needs to move to 168. Wasn't aware Lara had ducked him? My understanding was HBO don't want that fight. Of all the boxers between 154-160 I think he would have best chance of beating him. Also there is still possibility of Canelo in summer, it's not been ruled out yet. He could have stepped up to fight Ward at 168 but Loeffler refused it for 2016.Chepppaaa wrote:it realy is a shame. jacobs, canelo, lara, cotto nobody realy wants a piece of ggg....waste of talent
Jacobs has no excuse, would like to see WBA mandate it..wonder what Jacobs/ Haymon would do! BJS has blatantly ducked him but to be fair he can earn more in a stadium rematch with Eubank jr in the summer, make more commercial sense. It's a shame Pirog had to retire, would have been interesting.

Re: It is a shame that prime GGG is so avoided.
Lara has wanted the fight for at least a year now. I wish Andrade or one of the Charlo brothers would move up to fight him, since Canelo doesn't seem to want to fight them. GGG could have went to 168 and had a big fight with Ward, but didn't.

Two words. TRASH TALK.
Name all the chickens, pick em apart, make a video, put on YouTube.
Video of a chicken and Canelos head taped on the chicken head. Billed "Mexican Chicken".
Canelo - eggs for balls. The mexican way.

I am not talking about Euro's fighting Euro's I am talking about the chicken shit tactics from North American fighters. It is just too many to name and too much to get into but it is a fact. Quillen, Jacobs and that chickenshit Alvarez want nothing to do with him!jockpunk wrote:Were you saying that when billie joe saunders refused to fight him for a what was by far a career best purse?Lancenix wrote:Al;l North Americans by the way. There is enough English to name: BJS, Eubank Jr and earlier Froch, Barker. Even Murray was ducking for a long time until he realized that he is not getting a better payday than from GGG.Lancenix wrote:I am not talking about Euro's fighting Euro's I am talking about the chicken poo tactics from North American fighters.
