Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
Floyd always talks about the "Money" and a fight with Amir Khan would've been HUGE.
Mayweather vs Khan 1.8million buys at least! I think why this fight never happened is for the fact say what you want Khan's hand speed is
abnormal and he would have peppered Floyd at times and gotten out of harms way. Not saying he would have won but he would've stung Floyd a
few times with BLISTERING speed Floyd isn't stupid he's well aware. He had problems in the early going against Judah and Khan throws more and
is much much faster than Zab Judah. Much respect to Floyd but he did avoid and run from Cotto 2008 version (yes he did), he avoided giving Oscar
a rematch, and he ran from Manny 2008-2013 version. But back to Khan a money fight like that it's obvious why the fight never took place he wanted
no part of Khan's hands speed.

Yeah I forgot to mention that Khan is so fast that he was able to repeatedly run out of the way of those hard KO punches from Algieri and yes Floyd ducked him and Cotto too.

Re: Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
Its simple really, Floyd was choosing between Berto and Mayfield for his last fight?? Berto is way down on the list of "A" level fighters and Kareem Mayfield just lost to a good fighter by close to a shut out, I didn't really care to see Floyd vs Khan but I would've rather that than Berto or Mayfield, that's for sure. TBE?? The risk was just to high for Floyd vs Khan and the money was so easy with Berto

Also Floyd ducked Brook too, Brook held the only other WW title and PBF chose Berto instead so by your ducking logic Floyd ducked Brook.Undefeated49-0 wrote:http://www.boxingnews24.com/2015/02/fig ... ly-ducked/

It's still a duck if he was offered the fight and refused it, that's just how ducking works.

Did Floyd offer Khan the fight?? Yes or no?? Because Khan isn't or never was in the driver's seat to offer Floyd a fight just in case you do not know how it works.
Wilder offered Povetkin the fight and Povetkin said he needed 6 more months to train for it, that my friend is what you call a "Duck".

Hahaha why did you remove your other quote? I will tell you why because it doesn't suit your agenda in this topic.

A duck is what Peter Quillin did with Triple G. He even dropped his belt and ran to another division to avoid fighting him.
Re: Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
I did like the Wilder nut hugging comment about Povetkin ducking him...
All I got out of it was ducking = wanting more than a normal 3 weeks Wilder training camp...

This applies to Joshua as well because the Champ (Martin) called him out with an offer and Joshua ducked that offer.Larrylefthook wrote:That was in reference to Joshua ducking Martin according to you, not Wilder vs Povetkin.

An offer or a "offer"??? He has also called out Wilder - Fury and Vlad they all ducking him too???Undefeated49-0 wrote:This applies to Joshua as well because the Champ (Martin) called him out with an offer and Joshua ducked that offer.Larrylefthook wrote:That was in reference to Joshua ducking Martin according to you, not Wilder vs Povetkin.

So according to the law of underfested49-0 Floyd ducked Brook by choosing Berto, Brook held the only other world title but Floyd chose not to unify he ducked Brook and chose a non champ in Berto. You cant have it both ways.Undefeated49-0 wrote:This applies to Joshua as well because the Champ (Martin) called him out with an offer and Joshua ducked that offer.Larrylefthook wrote:That was in reference to Joshua ducking Martin according to you, not Wilder vs Povetkin.

Khan does not and has not deserved a huge PPV payday against Floyd or Manny.

Re: Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
I think that a credible argument can be made that both FMJ and Pac have avoided Khan. That does not mean that I agree with it but the argument can be made.
Would Khan have been the more lucrative business decision than Berto for FMJ and Ramming Speed for Pac?

Yeah Floyd ducked Brook, you're so right about everything.
Re: Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
Floyd may have passed on khan and Brook but he certainly didn't duck them. To me the term duck means avoid an opponent because you're worried about them, I doubt Floyd was concerned about losing to either of them.

Exactly right 100%, Floyd never ducked Khan or Brook the same way Anthony Joshua is not Ducking Charles Martin. Underfeated49-0 is contradicting himself and all i'm doing is calling him out on his BS.sibbo wrote:Floyd may have passed on khan and Brook but he certainly didn't duck them. Yeah Floyd ducked Brook, you're so right about everything.
Cant you see how your contradicting yourself? You say AJ is ducking Martin because you think everyone must take up an "offer" to fight a champion. So you must use your same logic and say PBF ducked Brook because he was offered the chance to fight a fellow champion and unify but instead he fought Berto...
Re: Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
Well said. It seems most forget that Khan struggled life and death with a 140lber that got the crap beat out of him by Manny. Big threat? Please... Floyd was set to make at least $32 million no matter who he fought. Khan's loud mouth and disrespect cost him the fight more than anything. All the talk about Khan's blazing speed makes me laugh when a guy much slower than Floyd easily timed him and knocked him the fornicate out. More than one guy that didn't even hit as hard as Floyd had Khan wobbling. Yeah, big threat....better duck that guy.tiny_acres wrote:Khan does not and has not deserved a huge PPV payday against Floyd or Manny.

Re: Floyd Repeatedly DUCKED Khan~
It really comes down to each individual's definition of duck. I don't like the use of "duck" or "ducked" related to matchmaking, with the exception of extreme cases.Badhusker wrote:Well said. "Avoid" or "avoided" is the more accurate term for Team FMJ's (and Team Pac's) decisions regarding a fight with Khan. Of course, the argument can be made that "avoid" or "avoided" is too strong a term to describe FMJ's choices to rematch Maidana and fill Berto's pockets.
I would choose to disagree with (or avoid) that argument. FMJ and Pac have avoided Khan for other than financial reasons.
