Maybe Chisora for the Euro title? Not heard anything though so I'm just guessing.

If he is built in proportion then he probably has done some of that.

Will probably be a non descript "Inter" prefixed title..something like the WBO European. Michael Wallisch holds that title and would be a very good stepping stone for Hughie who needs more experience at a better level.

My guess would be Michael Wallisch or Edmund Gerber.

The problem for Hughie is that the British Heavyweight scene is thriving at the moment and I'm not sure how far that he can go.
David Price can still punch (regardless of his chin and temperament).
Dillian White really impressed me in his with Anthony Joshua, he showed that he can punch and can take it back.

I'd say it's 50/50 if Hughie was to fight either of them. If Hughie wants to progress I think he should be looking at the likes of Tom Dallas, Sam Sexton or Gary Cornish. If he keeps on beating unknown and unranked eastern Europeaners, we'll never be able to gauge how good/bad he is.

Tom Dallas and Gary Cornish are just as bad as the unranked eastern europeans you are on about.

wouldn't mind seeing Hughie in with some domestic opponents this year.
Allen/Towers winner, Sexton, Cornish, Whyte, Price and Chisora.
Plenty of fights and money to be made...

Why? He hasn't fought in years and his best days are long behind him. What does beating him mean? I keep reading that Hughie's mustard so perhaps he can fight somebody with a pulse?

The English title. I don't care if he hasn't fought for years. Someone has to take that title off him so that he can retire.

Hughie Fury doesn't have to rush. He's young and he's been ill recently.

McDermott for the English title is a decent fight at this stage.

I'm sure I read an article recently where Hughie stated he was passed British and european level and they all looking towards world level this year...

The latest board notices did say that Mick Hennesey would promote Fury/McDermott for the English at a venue and on a date to be advised.

But I think they've said that about 20 times to be fair!

Does anyone know where big John and the English title actually are?

No but wherever they are I hope John is in good spirits. He's a good lad. His win over Larry Olubamiwo is one of my favourites with hindsight. We all know Larry's story and for all the chemicals he had taken, John gave him a dose of something chronic.

I'm sure if the money is right, and I don't mean silly money, just fair money, John will fight Hughie. He's always been a bit of a who needs him type and if he can earn better working than fighting, you can't blame him for not going on the losing circuit.

A domestic or European title fight would serve as a great yardstick for Fury's ability and would give him great experience if he feels he can push further.
The world scene is not strong, and I would have no problems sticking him in an IBF title fight now, but I still think he could use the valuable experience.

Fair enough, but who IS world level?

Is it the top ten? Or the champions? What's the criteria?

Not trying to pick a row (although I know you will  ). Just wanted to know who is considered world level.

Hughie has beaten - with the exception of Glazkov - better opposition than Charles Martin & Lucas Browne. Much more comprehensively in the case of Rudenko.

I consider Hughie to be a prospect - but he's at a similar opposition level to a 'world' champion & an upcoming challenger.

There's so many belts around today it's hard to distinguish.
