Chris & Kevin Finnegan.

Post by KOJOE90 »

These two tough World class Boxing brothers are hardly ever mentioned on these pages which is a shame as they were both very good fighters who both fought in a very competative time in their respective divisions.

So I thought I would start a thread on them.

Any memories, information or opinions on these fighters fight fans?

Thanking you in advance. :box: :box:

I've got his fights with Minter and thought he won all three of them.

Very good, well-balanced counterpuncher.

Chris Finnegans autobiog is one of the best boxing biogs that I've read, very gritty and humourous with some good insights....

And complete? I've only ever seen the 2nd fight in it's entirety; the other 2 have been replayed once or twice but heavily edited. Without seeing the complete fight, it's rather hard to say who won as reports in Boxing News had them being very close.

The other two have only been showed in Hl as far as I know!.... I think Minters extra power was the difference between the two, in the second bout Finnegan finished fast but this was after losing at least 7 or 8 of the first 10 rounds!......

Chris gave Foster a helluva go in a 1972 title fight. Ring Magazine fight of the year I believe.
