Exception that proves the rule and look at the undercard. Haye, Joshua, Fury and Khan are on a different stratosphere to every other pro in this country in terms of recognition/interest and should be removed from this type of discussion.

In January, even your ticket selling monsters like Warrington would struggle to sell a fraction of what he typically would. Too many people are still paying for Christmas.

I cancelled Sky then got it again at a reduced rate as Kodi is great but not always 100% reliable when it comes to fights. The best bet is to cancel for at least six-months then accept a reduced rate for a year before cancelling again.

I am still pretty annoyed with Sky for cutting to ads at crucial times in back-to-back shows. Their excuse was pretty pathetic, too.

Cancelled my Sky Sports package as soon as the Eagles were done; no point in keeping it just for the boxing when almost all the decent stuff is PPV

I was only thinking this the other day about how little decent boxing has been on 'normal' Sky. We get thrown the odd tidbit now and then but apart from that it's become pretty barren. Very sad to see how things have gone.

Right now I'm not skint so I keep Sky for the extra Premier League matches, but if I was anywhere cllose to cutting back, then Sky Sports would be the one to go, I'd keep allegedly, take the odd PPV and do the rest on streaming, or just get a dodgy box as others have mentioned

I was surprised at how old some of the fighters are getting and what there future prospects might be. Must admit can't see boxing on SKY Sports getting any better soon.

You're absolutely right, and it's no wonder the future looks so bleak. I can't get excited about any of them.

Are DeGale, McDonnell, Selby and Quigg PPV fighters? Maybe in massive unifications, but run of the mill defences? No way would I pay extra to watch them.

I don't think you can get PPV on there. Other than that it's a good service, no issues with the picture quality, as long as my internet is reasonable

In the interests of balance, I thought it was only fair to bump this thread to give a bit of credit to Sky for the upcoming May schedule - some real quality, competitive fights and not a PPV in sight!

Nah there is a 5 year deal with Matchroom for the regular shows,the schedule could be spread around better so we don't get weeks of nothing followed by finally a good month of 3 domestic world title fights.They use the regular shows to help building and lead to ppvs so they won't get rid of them.I like the on demand ringside service the hour long show did get a little repetitive in the end even through it was a shame to see it go.They really should put on two regular domestic shows in June and July instead we are likely to get two ppvs in Joshua and Brook,I know with the football it's difficult to schedule it this summer but subscribers should get value for money and not left with fornicate all.

I cancelled sky sports ages ago but about to cancel the full package. What's my options for a replacement? I can get most channels and catch up through the PlayStation and someone else's sky go- how would my allegedly subscription work? Do I need a box for that?
