I seem to remember one where the boxer lands a left hook and the ref immediatly calls it off..........but i'm buggered if i can remember who it was
Re: Quickest finish in a UK ring?
Wasn't there a featherweight contest that lasted 10.5 seconds including the count? The Benn one was quick, wicked punch to end the fight!

Haven't heard of one quicker than this. I know Pele Reid used to hold the record at 9 seconds when Michael Murray dislocated his shoulder.crusader wrote:Sean Turner stopped Zoltan Elekes in 8 seconds.

I remember Alvin "Slick" Miller stopping Steve Petitt in Brum very early in the first round. Its actually documented at 6 seconds.

Think that's an error on boxrec, I'll ask them to look into it. My understanding it was 17 seconds, according to a couple of reports I've read. The Insider wrote:I remember Alvin "Slick" Miller stopping Steve Petitt in Brum very early in the first round. Its actually documented at 6 seconds.

I don't remember it being 6 either but I'm confident it was under 17. Ill make inquiries.TBEwasLangford wrote:Think that's an error on boxrec, I'll ask them to look into it. Another quick finish was Ducky Rees over Des Sowden. Remember he dropped him with the first punch and the ref stopped it but can't find it on youtube .... can't have been more than 10 seconds.
