Still on yesterday. Fancy Browne, but then never rated Chagaev and wouldnt be surprised if he dropped out either.

Browne's decision to sign with Hatton is up there with sending Anne Franke a drum kit for xmas

I think Chagaev will win on points.

He seems fairly durable and I've never thought much of Browne (anyone see his fight with Long? Dreadful stuff). IMO Chag still has enough skill left to outbox him.

Browne is crude but unless he stops Chagaev (which isnt easy going off his fight with Klitschko) then even if Browne deserves to win, he's not going to get the decision. Especially in fornicating Grozny, Chechyna!

browne is a puncher, thats all. little or no finesse nor head movement. but a puncher stands a chance against anyone.

More of a 'clubber' very little snap on his shots just clubs away using raw physical strength. It's a sad sign of how poor the heavyweight division is these days that such a rudimentary fighter is contesting a (sort of) world title.

Chagaev on points. Browne seems like a nice bloke but the only reason I'd give him any chance at all is Chagaev is old and faded and looked to have lost a step when he fought Wlad even, many moons ago. But Browne has laboured with some old and faded guys who were much worse than Chagaev and I can see the more experienced fighter winning here. Browne winning would be much better for the division though

How so?

If it wasn't for Ricky's huge investment in Lucas, he wouldn't be in this position now.

When Lucas was picked up by HP, he was boxing on small Aussie cards for very little money.

Ricky has put his hand in his pocket to get Lucas fights and titles to get a ranking in order for him to get this opportunity.

Please educate yourself before you post utter nonsense.

Lucas Browne says he's down to 114kg two weeks out from the fight and sounding like a more rounded fighter. "More angles, better ringmanship and more punches in combos."

Departing for Grozy next Tuesday. Leaving about 10 days prep over there prior to the fight.

I have watched some recent sparring videos of Browne and his body shape is so different with 20 odd pounds removed from it. He looks more flexible and mobile, and hopefully he'll have better staying power as well.

But Browne has been dropping his hands in the clips I've seen and that's a worry. Still it is only sparring and I hope on the night he keeps the defence a bit tighter.

Gotta go for Big Daddy here.

He's a limited boxer but I can't help but like the big lummox. Would love him to pick up a world title.

Chagaev is a tidy boxer and the more naturally talented of the two but Browne is hungry, raw and can bang. Decent fight this and I'm looking forward to it. If I was placing a bet I'd go for Chagaev on points but I'll be rooting for Browne.
