Supposedly Joshua is fighting against Charles Martin. There is definitely two sides to this coin, as in we do not know how good Charles Martin is as he essentially got the IBF belt by default from Glazkov getting injured. I would suspect that he deserves some degree of skill to at least get in a position to fight for a IBF through a title eliminator between him and Glazkov. Yet, it could mean that the weakness of Martin as a champion may undermine Joshua in the long run as he could beat a rather average champion and come unstuck against better opposition in the form of Fury or Wilder. Just like Stiverne vs Wilder, the only real decent opponent Wilder has fought to gain the title may suggest that Wilder is worse than people make out to be when he goes up against better fighters.

Aside from Martin's skill, I'm pretty impressed that they've gone ambitiously and fought someone inside the top 10 rankings for once. Especially considering that Joshua has not fought a south paw in his professional career (I think that's right?), it makes for an interesting contest. If Joshua gets through Martin, I'd assume that Haye would fight to get into the top 10 for either a mandatory or a title fight. Then if Joshua came through that (probably in the mean time Fury has beaten Wilder), Fury vs Joshua unification of the heavyweight division. A man can dream.
