I'm a fan of AJ but can't really argue with that. Regardless of who's got the other belts everybody knows Fury is the man. The rest are just belt holders and nothing more.

This sets up a huge Joshua /Fury fight within the next 12 months or so. I don't see why it wouldn't happen, I genuinely don't think Joshua (or Hearn) would have any fear of facing Fury at all. It's big punchers they'll be more wary of.

I wouldn't be surprised if he fights Fury. It makes sense financially. Don't think AJ is ready as things stand but if/when he beats Martin and gets a couple of decent defences in then he'll be in a better position.

Absolutely, thing is, Joshua probably made more fighting Whyte than Fury did fighting Klitschko. That's why Josua is getting the rankings and early title shot. No more than a title holder, Fury is the champ. If both can stay unbeaten and providing Joshua uses his title correctly ( as in learns fast, whilst on the job with his defences ) then Fury - Joshua next year sometime will make them an absolute fortune.

Agree. Povetkin has fought at a higher level than Fury for a while now and has the better CV when it comes to opponents faced.

Makes sense for Hearn and AJ.

Get a World Title (I can't see Martin winning), keep the casual fan money rolling in and have reason (to the aforementioned casual fan) to say 'I'm a World Champ, I don't need to fight Fury or Haye or anyone dangerous'.

Legit wins all round for Hearn and AJ.
