I hope so... I first started following the sport heavily in 96. Between HBO, Showtime, USA, and ESPN, you never really had a dull week. HBO was putting on 2-3 good cards a month, on it's own. Now? I mean, I hope it's just a temporary slump, but it is depressing at the moment. And I'm not just talking about the beginning of the years.Boxerbeetle wrote:It's February 14th FFS, plenty of time for big fights to be made.

Yeah watched them live via a few streams. The Takigawa/Ono bout was on NTV G+ in Japan whilst the Commey Vs Jun fight was on CCTV5 from China. The Chinese stream was far easier to find.littlepug wrote:Hey boxing prospect are you watching these fights live and if so how are you viewing them ? just get the feeling I'm missing some good fights but can't find a platform on which to see themBoxing Prospect wrote:Last weekend I watched Takigawa Vs Ono...that was amazing...today I'm sat watching Commey Vs Jun...god this dire...

The truth is if the best guys got in the ring with the best guys the sport would be awesome but they don't so it is talked about as much as professional bowling and it does not even deserve that. In the UFC the best fights happen! Guys have no choice! In boxing it is the opposite. You have clowns like Haymon and DLH running the sport into the ground and no commission to do anything about it.
