Before anything, massive respect to Charles Martin for fighting Anthony Joshua.

That should be the other way around. Martin has been chasing Joshua as he believes Joshua will be a good win for him. I'd like to see Joshua win and I think he will but it wouldnt surprise me if Martins decision to pick out Joshua from the bunch pays off for him.

Its all top level opponents right now for Joshua should he win. Will he fight all the best opponents like you say a real champion should? Well it all starts on April 9th.

The other way around ofcourse as well, but Joshua already had my respect thanks to his olympic gold medal, as well as his pro fights. I respect Martin for his decision, offering the belt to the guy who deserves it the most, instead of wasting as much time as possible, looking for the worst possible opponent out there. I'll allways have more respect for Stiverne above Wilder as well.

"Allways" is a very long time. What if the Povetkin fight does happen and then Wilder goes after Fury?

Lol you always mention his gold medal. He won that in amateur boxing obviously with amateur boxing rules, regulations and restrictions. Its great to have a good amateur background but I have seen many Olympic gold medalists struggle in the pro ranks.

I read that they offered it to Parker as well but Parkers management declined stating that basically they couldnt front with the money. I would provide the link but Im still learning how to use this phone properly.

If Wilder loses against Povetkin I'll allways respect Martin over Wilder for simply fighting the best possible opponent out there, just like the Klitschko's allways did.

I expect AJ to win within 5 rounds, yes, AJ showed a worser show as expected against Whyte, but Whyte would probably win against Wilder or/and Martin.

That's the reason. Martin's team knows he was very lucky to get the belt, and he can actually lose it in his first defence, to anybody.

I checked AJs highlights to be sure and no, he hasnt fought an accomplished southpaw like Martin. So I think theres defintely a styles clash that seems to favour Martin in that AJ hasnt fought a decent pro southpaw and Martin has fought many right handers.

Klitschko, Povetkin, Joshua, they all won Olympic gold and they are all doing pretty well, there do exist exceptions, I agree, but overall olympic gold winners are doing pretty well. At least better as bronze winners, with a few exceptions there again but ok.

Martin will put in a game performance but will get bludgeoned. He's one of the few HWs who fights more stiff and upright than Joshua!

I know and agree, but I still think Martin is better as that teacher called Molina isn't he?
He can fight Dominic Breazeale if he likes, I don't think that's a big risk is it?
Also, he can simply wait for a year and train behind the scenes during that year and ask for and even bigger bid at the end of that year.

Martin's definitely cashing in here. Outside of Wlad and Povetkin, Joshua is where the money is in the HW division.
Bound to be a rematch clause too, so it's double bubble. Plus theres the outside chance Joshua's knee will give way and Martin will win!
