quigg, with such heavy hands and quite heavy on his feet...Frampton, fleet footed but a tad weedy-looking (didn't look strong inside v kiko).

quigg, the tradesman, throws everything correctly from a solid base...Frampton, with the flashy combos, covering more miles.

quigg by far the more poised, and Frampton showing more urgency. does quigg operate at a fast enough pace? is Frampton controlled and calm enough? would quigg leave it too late / would Frampton burn too much energy up?

they'd match up brilliantly. I think Frampton will certainly beat kiko Martinez again, if it comes to that matchup. quigg v Martinez could be a brutal matchup.
Frampton was the most controlled and calmed person out of the 9,000 against Parodi. Frampton for me but both are world class. Its going to be an exciting few years watching these 2

:TU: I think so too.

This was once a 50/50 fight, but looking at the poll it's closer to 70/30, is it really that big of a deal if it doesn't happen ?

thats it Rigo is just an elite fighter and looks like to dominate the division... i cant see framton or quigg getting belt off rigo... that leaves donaire who is again another elite but no belts so that leaves seda and thats not easy to... maybe we will see quigg and frampton scraping for the IBF not unless someone moves division...

Frampton destroys quigg in a brutal 6round one sided beat down, frampton too strong, too quick and has more variety of shots for quigg to deal with. I like both but got to pick one and frampton is my pick

indeed. After Quigg vs Rendall Munroe i was in the Quigg camp, but after the most recent performances from both, i'm firmly in the Frampton camp for this one.

Quigg is bigger, fitter, and stronger. Frampton is the better boxer but I think quigg will come on to strong and will stop frampton with body shot inside 8.

I think Frampton is the better overall fighter but I also think Quigg might be his Kryptonite. Frampton usually comes across as cool, calm and collected and normally speaks well. In the lead up to this however, he's lost his cool slightly on more than on occasion whilst Quigg, who isn't the greatest of talkers, has kept ice cold.

Quigg has been fantastic. Loved it when Carl taunted him about getting a lower purse, "I'll end up with more after Barry has paid all his family "!.

Head -- Frampton out-boxes to a points victory
Heart -- Quigg stoppage between 8 and 12

Can't wait for this one.

Ideal scenario for me, Frampton dances/runs and out boxes Quigg for 8 rounds then stops him late...

Always fancied Frampton but the closer the fight gets n the more confident Quigg seems, I'm leaning towards him, really don't know who'll win, but heading over to cheer on Carl ☺

Head says Quigg,
Heart says Quigg
exudes calmness out of the ring , will wreake havoc inside the ring , brutal bodyshots will be the difference

Yeah Quigg seems very relaxed & totally convinced of victory, Frampton seems a lot more tense. Lots of rumours Carl has been struggling badly with the weight (wouldn't surprise me after his comments after his last fight), maybe that's playing on his mind. I used to think Frampton would beat Quigg, but I now think Quigg wins.

Perceptions seem to have changed significantly since their last bouts.

As time ticks on I`m seeing it more this way too.
Frampton seems rattled that his mind-games aren`t affecting Quigg that much, and Quigg`s single-minded determination is impressive.

That's a great point and after seeing the head to head I agree....changed my mind...I'm going quigg!!

Either way, great fight this one...finally we have two great fighters going head to head rather than avoid each other, hats off to both

Combray wrote:Really conflicted with this fight; I used to quite like Frampton he seemed like a nice enough bloke but his arrogance (influence of his 'mentor' Barry McGuigan) in the build up to this has been unbelievable, I think the crack about Quigg's 'lack of intelligence outside the ring' was a bit cruel to be honest, so I'd really like to see him get chinned.

BUT on the other hand a Quigg victory will further inflate the already planet sized ego of that t*sser Joe Gallagher.
I don't think Quigg is any less intelligent than Frampton, he just comes across a bit worse because he's not a good speaker.

I'm determined to stick with my original pick Frampton, but with each passing day i move closer to quigg. Still with Frampton, by TKO as well.
I have no preference and i think this will be superb viewing from Rd 1!

Saying Frampton had a 17 week training camp, seems a lot to me :bag:
