The Molina fight was not memorable but Khan's performances v Alexander and Collazo were excellent. I also enjoyed the Diaz fight.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:What?Tanzio wrote:Amir Khan always comes to fight. Khan's fans are less vocal than his haters and detractors. Khan is an arrogant, loudmouthed Muslim who projectile vomits pretty much whatever is on his mind. He is Ali Jr. It was the hate that made Ali great. People wanted to see Ali lose because of his loud mouth. because he was African American, because he converted to Islam, because he refused to go to Vietnam. The haters were far more vocal than his fans. But Ali is loved and respected to this day around the globe. Long ago, the haters were drowned out.
I would estimate that Khan is followed by at least a billion people. IMO, Pac and FMJ avoided Khan because they felt threatened by his youth and speed, as well as his star power. I believe that his influence has lead to a wave of increased interest in boxing across the Islamic world. I'm sure that Khan has a significant hater-base among Muslims.
I was in favor of the first Maidana fight over giving Khan his shot at that time. The second Maidana fight was simply a low risk bridge to the Pac charade. Berto was a no risk bow out. FMJ's decision to avoid Khan was based on risk v reward including but obviously not limited to the economic reward. Khan would have been a better / more entertaining fight than pretty much any of FMJ's fights since ODLH.
Khan is simply quality entertainment and he has crossover star power.
Let's see, the Algieri fight was "good", but sad considering a "top" guy looked like that against Algieri.
The Alexander, Collazo and Molina fights were trash. Julio Diaz was more proof that Khan isn't top level.
Floyd and Manny were threatened by a guy who gets knocked around by Julio Diaz?
Manny VS Khan would look exactly like Manny VS Hatton. KO 2
We already seen Mayweather/Khan. It would be like Mayweather/Judah with less competitive rounds.
The only difference is that Khan wouldn't do the whole low blow poo and just lose by late TKO.
They were afraid of his star power but not Canelo's or JMM's star power?
Algieri matched up well against Khan. Algieri is a credible scalp. I do not understand why people choose to denigrate him. He is tough, and relatively skilled and gifted.
Yes, both FMJ and Pac ARE threatened by Khan's youth, speed, skill and heart. Pac v Ramming Speed III and FMJ v Berto when a draw like Khan is available? Yes, they both avoided him for other than economic reasons.
Congratulations to Khan for maneuvering into position for the GingerHead fight. Well played.
And it will likely be more entertaining than Pac v FMJ v Berto combined.

So, out of the 7 billion people in the world, does anyone think there are even that many boxing fans? Wow.
Khan's star power amounts to people tuning in to see him get wobbled and dancing like a chicken. Funny as hell. There is no welterweight alive that would avoid a fight with him, or be afraid, for any reason. Good boxer for about half the fight, but isn't smart enough to be the whole package.

khan was delusional and divvy when it came to talking about a fight between him and mayweather. comical.

Calls Manny vs Floyd choreographed as though they met up with one another and rehearsed how they would fight over and over (Dumbest Comment I've ever read on Boxrec).Tanzio wrote:but in FMJ's case he used his underwhelming performance in Maidana I to avoid any risk at all over his last three fights, including the choreographed farce v Pac. Claims the following weren't risks for Floyd:
Pacquiao
Mosley
Oscar
Canelo
Marquez, I could go on and on. For any other fighter any of those would've been a risk but noooooo, not for Floyd because Tanzio (mr. I'm so butthurt and I hate Floyd) said it so it must be right.
I mean, he (Tanzio) was there at the Manny vs Floyd rehearsals when they sparred and choreographed exactly how the fight would go once everyone left the secret gym they met at and planned the "Farce".
Congrats, you have Officially Surpassed that idiot (Bnovelist) as the Dumbest Poster in Boxrec history.
Re: Usual Khan rubbish
I have made the same claim about Pac v FMJ since the final press conference before the farce where FMJ did everything but lick the dingleberries out of Pac's butt hair.Undefeated49-0 wrote:Calls Manny vs Floyd choreographed as though they met up with one another and rehearsed how they would fight over and over (Dumbest Comment I've ever read on Boxrec).Tanzio wrote:but in FMJ's case he used his underwhelming performance in Maidana I to avoid any risk at all over his last three fights, including the choreographed farce v Pac. I called it prior to the fight. I was correct then and I am correct now. Pac v FMJ was a choreographed farce. They waltzed through 12 rounds. The WWE is less fake.
The rest of your post is inaccurate due to your lack of reading comprehension.
What is most hilarious / pathetic about your accusations is the fact that you are the source. Go ahead and clue us in (once again) on all of the conspiracy theories that you believe in turB, with all the links to all those "reputable" sites.
FMJ v Pac was a farce, IMO.
Re: Usual Khan rubbish
The only Mayweather opponent that Id have replaced with Khan would have been Berto and even at that Khan made all the moves to keep himself out of the fight. None of Khans opponents were enough to force the fight onto Mayweather, Maidana beating Broner made him relevant for the first fight, Maidana putting up a good fight made him relevant for the second fight.
Khan avoided all risks to keep himself in the running for a mayweather fight when in reality he could have gone and taken on bigger names and made himself the number 1 contender to Mayweather. He has only himself to blame for not getting the fight.
Brook, Cotto, Marquez, Thurman, Porter, Maidana II, Garcia II, Broner
(Promotional differences and possible catchweight requirements but any of them as opponents would have made a statement and put extra pressure on FM if khan were successful against them)
Khan had more options than Mayweather or Pacquiao but wanted the fast track route to the big money..... proven by what he has now done by facing Canelo.

Re: Usual Khan rubbish
"Extra pressure on FM?" Pressure or the lack of it had nothing to do with FMJ's choices of Maidana twice, a farce with Pac, and an exhibition with Berto. It was simply (no risk) preference.Emmseegee wrote:The only Mayweather opponent that Id have replaced with Khan would have been Berto and even at that Khan made all the moves to keep himself out of the fight. i've wanted to see Floyd/Khan for years. No, he didn't deserve it
, but that speed presented a different problem than we saw Floyd deal with. It would have been an all action fight, the most underrated thing about Floyd is how he deals with adversity. he would have ended up hunting Khan down like hagler.

Exactly!! If Algieri can get you on the run and he doesn't even hit that hard, then I'm certain that Mayweather hits harder than him will have Amir backpedaling the vast majority of the fight and we all know that Khan is no true Counterpuncher thus it's just a matter of time he gets beaten up, knocked down or out or just lose on points.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:i've wanted to see Floyd/Khan for years. interested in boxing who preferred andre
berto to amir khan as floyd's last opponent.
here is one thing about amir: this guy has
guts and heart and in the fight he longed
for night and day for years he would have
gone in all guns blazing. at least i think
there was a real chance he would say: my
shere speed kills your slickness.
i cannot help but thinking that floyd was
a wise man to avoid the two fastest men
of this era. prime manny and amir. don't
get me wrong, i think eventually he would
have beaten amir, but the risk was more
than floyd thought he needed to take. and
of course amir by no stretch of the imagination
really deserved the shot.

This isn't about whether FMJ could defeat Khan or Brook or Sometimes or Ramming Speed or Danny or Porter. This is about FMJ taking the easy way out through calculated risk. IMO, FMJ's risk averse decisions have affected boxing adversely.

Garbage post by both of you. It's already been proven and admitted by Freddie Roach that it was Manny's fault that fight didn't happen in 2010.
Khan doesn't have any guns to blaze, dude hits like a b*tch which is why every fighter he's faced recently has walked him down.
Believe the BS if you want and honestly Tanzio i already exposed your BS so you should have a hot cup of STFU.
