Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
Really ? - who believes this shit ?
I wonder how many of the tickets were bought by the ticket agency that Eddie is connected with ?
On the one hand if he can get away with it then why not, although legally this should not be allowed to happen.

Re: Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
yeah tickets all sold out is total BS and have all gone to tout hub
Re: Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
Touts will take a lot but its also casual fans....I have people in my work talking about him being a world champ soon etc, (Assuming he wins)
On boxrec we are in the minority.....the casuals call the shots and pay the money because they just see what's on Sky.
I mentioned Tyson Fury earlier to people at work about him being the world champ as they were banging on about Joshua and someone said to me...'Oh that gypsy bloke' is he a belt holder then?
Joshua is so so well known its unreal, I like the Martin fight for him and I do like Joshua but the way casuals can get sold on fights astounds me...people really can get sucked into hype.

Its good he's attracting more fans to the sport on the positive. I went to the December 12th show and it was just full of casuals. yes the main event atmosphere was brilliant, but you get people talking absolute rubbish throughout the night, not showing no respect to the boxers with some of the behaviour as ridiculous (throwing drinks about, starting on the security). I like AJ but I wouldn't go to watch him again live.Crazyboy wrote:Touts will take a lot but its also casual fans....I have people in my work talking about him being a world champ soon etc, (Assuming he wins)

I couldnt get a ticket, however plenty on Stubb Hub if you want to get ripped off. Did anyone on Boxrec get any tickets easy enough?

Ive just checked stub hub
http://www.stubhub.co.uk/matchroom-boxi ... 41267&cb=1
those back seat prices are around £47 normally however they range from £140 a ticket to over £200. What pisses me off someone is selling 20 in a block for around £200 a ticket. Who the fkuc buys 20 tickets in one go to resell them? ill tell you a bloody shark does.

Ticket limit was 6 so if someone has 20 in a block all together theyve obviously come straight from the promotermimmy123 wrote:Ive just checked stub hub

It wouldn't surprise me, but let's be honest here, if they're not going to make such acts illegal, then what can you do? It's probably up to the government to step in, because you don't see it happening internally in boxing.freddydoesdallas wrote:Evidence of collusion with the promoter?ste1983 wrote:Ticket limit was 6 so if someone has 20 in a block all together theyve obviously come straight from the promotermimmy123 wrote:Ive just checked stub hub

Also the demand is high enough to subsidise the costs. I guess it's on par with a supply and demand. But it's pricing your common man out of watching sporting events. It's like the common thread with Premier League prices, and the rise in the cost of watching your team. Football used to be a working man's sport, but now the working man can't afford to get in the ground.
Where will it all end?
Re: Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
It's obviously dodgy as anything but genuine question what does Hearn gain from all these tickets on stub hub? He presumably only gets the face value price for this event? I know obviously stub hub are a sponsor of Matchroom so perhaps I'm just answering my own question and what he gets is a high paying sponsor?freddydoesdallas wrote:Evidence of collusion with the promoter?ste1983 wrote:Ticket limit was 6 so if someone has 20 in a block all together theyve obviously come straight from the promotermimmy123 wrote:Ive just checked stub hub

Re: Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
Its the secondary sites (just making touting easy) that are the problem to be honest but when promoters have deals with them and official ticket agencies are actually their sister company (ticketmaster/getmein) they aren't going away!
I was getting emails this morning from Seatwave (a secondary site) reminding me that AJ tickets went on sale at 9am now if thats not saying 'go on get some and stick them on our site for quadruple the price so we can take our cut....I don't know what is.

Eddie is laughing all the way to the bank with AJ.
I was about 6 rows outside of the VIP area , good view like but this group behind me turned up and we were all chuckling in our row, here are some rough highlights .
" OMG these seats are amazing!! guy rings his mate " we have the best seats ever i cant believe this, i'm looking at Tony Bellew right now, he is like right in front of me!!" hangs phone and his mate says "Which one is Bellew?" to which he replied , "that one there, the Welsh one"
Martin Ward walking around ringside.
"Look look!! quuick look, theres Luke Campbell with his belts"
"Eddie wouldnt Risk Kevin Mitchell in with AJ, no way"
When Kevin Mitchell got dropped
"See i told you about AJ, he would last 5 mins with him"
Just before AJs walk on,
" I swear i'm wont sit down when AJ is in the ring, the stewards can say what they want but i'm not sitting down"
Whytes group storm the ring after the first round
" i swear i would have jumped in there if one of them had hit AJ!"

Hahaha this is why I doubt I'll ever go to another AJ fight (I've seen him fight a few times but mostly on undercards). Hate that type of crowd dreading Frampton/Quigg for similar reasons in a way just hope I get a decent crowd near me.chrisnew86 wrote:I heard some absolute classics while there.Reece_D wrote:Its good he's attracting more fans to the sport on the positive. It was more to do that if it is a secondary site just re-selling and they have blocks more than a single buyer can get then it could be evidence of directly selling and missing out the actual paying customer who will attend the event?ste1983 wrote:Where else do tickets originate from?freddydoesdallas wrote:Evidence of collusion with the promoter?ste1983 wrote:

Re: Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
I'm guessing that he sells his tickets to the likes of Ticketmaster, Seetickets and other genuine sales outlets for a set fee and they add on a small addition to make the actual full ticket price. They might also only agree to pay for what they sell.mfc_se15 wrote:It's obviously dodgy as anything but genuine question what does Hearn gain from all these tickets on stub hub? It's possible they sell the tickets to stubhub on at a higher price than the actual face value of the ticket and also get a guaranteed return as they agree to actually buy the tickets they are going to sell rather than just acting as an agent
Re: Tickets for Joshua fight sell out in 90 seconds
It's a shame the Consumer/Fair trading can't investigate what goes on with Eddie's tickets, no way does that sell out in 90 seconds legitimately for tickets to appear on Stub Hub or whatever a minute later.
There are meant to be laws against ticket touting and it would be interesting to see the names on the tickets that are on the secondary market.

Got a feeling It could be a terrible event. I have a feeling the undercard will be weak beacuse Eddie can get away with not putting much else on. I have a feeling Joshua may blast him out in a few rounds. I'll watch it from home.
