Macklin v Rose confirmed for April 9th

Post by ste1983 »

On Aj/Martin card

Interesting fight kind of last chance saloon at any decent level for both lads, shame they didn't make it in the Midlands seeing as they're both Brummies (unless they're pretending otherwise to sell tickets)

Macklin has looked shot for the last 3 or 4 fights, Rose should win this one. Interesting fight though.

Good fight and can go either way this one. Neither world class but the winner is guaranteed another pay day.

All over for the loser?? I would say so unless its close and they can push for a rematch like what happened with Rees and Buckland

I was thinking that myself. He's a Blummie, not a Brummie.

Should have just made macklin v lee. Have a feeling that fight will never happen now. Certainly not in Ireland now anway, it would have made a good chief support to the joshua fight.

Originally from Birmingham lives in Blackpool....He used to always tweet about Birmingham City, then he signed with Matchroom and they needed to fill the Winter Gardens so he started going on about Blackpool

I can see Rose winning this in a gruelling fight and a points decision.

Macklin is pretty close to shot but I've always thought Rose was very, very ordinary. I think it'll be pretty even but see Rose winning a MD type decision. I think both will be retired by 3 fights time

Hard to say. Macklin at his peak was far better than Brian Rose ever looked against anybody, but Macklin has looked bad the last few years. I think he's got enough left to beat Rose still though who was just never much good to begin with. I'll go with Mack the Knife here.
