Oh dear. Chudinov should never have agreed to box in Germany. He's paid dearly for that decision.

Considering Sturm pretty much owns the WBA can expect some crap defences now he won't even fight Abraham even though regardless of the Ramirez fight result he should.

Welcome to Sturmland. He hasn't been involved in seven SD title fights at home for nothing

Terrible

And please eff off with any 'flashier work' defense of Sturm....he got outlanded in most rounds and his shots had eff all impact on Chud. Fighters also aren't supposed to get bonus points if the crowd cheers after every punch they throw.

I haven't seen it, but I guess Sturm does deserve a lucky one - the Geale fight was extremely close and he was shafted a bit against Soliman.

It's stuff like this which puts me off boxing. Doubt I'll watching another boxing match for awhile now.

Did I hear the commentator say something along the lines that Chudinov "had form [for dirty stuff], and got deducted 2 points for punching after bell in Buglioni fight"? Surely I misheard as anybody watching it knows Chudinov was the recipient of the late shot!

The commentator annoyed me almost as much as the result.

There we were being charitable taking the view that Germany fights were getting slightly straighter. A bit of a disgrace that, 6 of the rounds were close, but Chudinov def the winner IMHO. Annoying.

Why did Chudinov as champion go to Germany for this first defence. I presume it was a mandatory but surely the champ can dictate the venue. An act of madness from his promotion team.

All you can say about Sturm - looking for positives - is he did well to make it closer than the first one and so make another dodgy Germany decision possible. As the younger, coming fighter can't help thinking Chudinov should have done better, he should have put it beyond doubt if he's improving.

Probably knew they didn't stand a chance if it went to purse bids and did a deal before, was always going to end up in Germany with Sturm being a big draw there. At that point they had to hope the officiating would be fair and it was a long way from it, but I think Chudinov could have made a better job of it and made the rounds clearer rather than letting Sturm play his usual game of throwing some flashy combinations in the last minute, if he really went for it I think he could have stopped Sturm.

It wasn't any closer than the first fight, the dodgy German decision is possible if the fight goes the distance, he had to knock Sturm out to be certain of the win and by out, I mean out cold, not getting up after 30 seconds sort of thing.

Well yet another example of shocking scoring from professional judges tonight,as impressed as i was with Sturm's effort,no way should he be WBA super middleweight champ,i had Chudinov winning 117-112,some close rounds but still really?....

I had it a round wider than the 1st fight but i thought this was closer as a contest if that makes sense, the 1st fight i couldve seen being wider but i was surprised by Sturm tonight,it was as good as i'd seen him in years, his workrate was decent,he just didnt have the same authority in his punches as Fedor whose punches were crisp and hard, still i was dissapointed in Chudinov's performance tonight,i expected him to cement his superiority over the ageing blown up MW but as strong as he was,he still allowed Felix to push him back for most of the fight and was pretty workmanlike

As dissapointing as Chudinov was he should still be world champ, undefeated with little more to worry about than a sub par showing,i put it down to motivation

The guy was abysmal. Even Bunce said afterwards he had hundreds of tweets asking what the fcuk he was watching.
