Is it worth a watch?

Post by fightfan95 »

I didn't manage to watch Chudinov v Sturm last night, I heard it was an awful decision - is it worth me watching I think I recorded it.

Even in a loss that is horribly turned into a victory for him, Sturm is worth watching. Chudinov is the future and that is always worth checking out.

I haven't seen much of Chudinov if I'm being honest and I've never really been a fan of Sturm :maybe: but I'm sure I will give it a watch after work tomorrow. How did you score it?

I did not score it, but Chudinov's dominance was clear. I may go back and score it since it was such a poor decision. I can't see Sturm being awarded more than four rounds and that is being generous. But, tbh, the second time around can sometimes be surprising.

I did want Chudinov to win and Sturm to be retired. Therefore, my bias may have affected my view. I doubt it, but it is possible.

Just wondering as I didn't see it, was the 1st fight unfair on Sturm?

So feasible for Sturm to have won the 1st one then - I can see a rubber on it's way..

Trying to be as generous as possible to Sturm I scored it 117-113 to Chudinov. Another robbery in Germany in a dull fight I thought.

Sturm clearly deserved to lose both fights (I've given him just 5 of their 24 rounds).

Incidentally, I had him edging Murray and think it would've been reasonable to score the Geale and Soliman I fights for him, but hometown judging was back in full force this time.

Judges in Germany are not very consistent with Sturm are they?
I had him beating Murray too but Felix only got a draw out of that one.
Geale and Soliman 1 were both close enough to reasonably go either way............both went against Sturm.
Then this one........Felix clearly beaten but the decision goes his way.
I guess it's better than ALL of the debatable decisions going his way.

Yes the hometown judging is horrible in Germany sometimes - I wonder how Sturm v Ottke would have panned out there, that would confuse them all
