CAPERELLO VS TALIPEAU OFF!

The highly anticipated bout between Melbourne's Blake Caparello and Sydney sider Junior Talipeau has fallen over due to Caparello landing a huge fight in the states.

Caparello's trainer Sam Labruna said; "the team respects Junior for stepping up and agreeing to fight Blake. The team is sorry that this fight needs to be canceled. Unfortunately that's the fight game."

Australian Boxing Central spoke to Blakes Co Manager Brendan Bourke and he had the following to say; "We were all set to fight Junior in Melbourne when Blakes promoter Lou Dibella phoned saying we are fighting in the states late April on TV and we can't take any fights beforehand."

"The reality is we have signed promotional rights to Dibella so we are obliged to that that US fight." Concluded Bourke.

When Bourke was quizzed on who Blake is fighting in the USA he was tight lipped however he had the following to say; Not many people know yet but I did tell Junior who Blake is fighting out of courtesy but the public will have to wait for the press announcement from Dibella."

Junior Talipeau wrote on his Facebook page; "if I was is the same position as my opponent I would have done the same thing."

In closing team Caparello stated; "We are not closing the door on the Talipeau fight altogether and we hope to reschedule it for later this year''.

Interesting call. I know when Caparello was in Canada he acted as a sparring partner for Stevenson.

They have sparred together before(Capa and Chickenson) but I think Stevensons fighting Fonfara again.

Thank fuhuck, who wants to see Capperello foul and mug his way to a bullshite decision !? The lad can fight, he has shown glimpses of it over the years, but what he actually does isn't fighting. Daniel Mackinnon beat Blake Capperello easily, unfortunately he got robbed! If I managed a south pacific fighter in his weight division, then there's no way I'd let that fight happen. Getting mugged and fouled to a loss devistating!
