Which means that Thurman's career continues down a path where he really does not have any big wins on his resume at all. Last year he turned down Spence and now he has an injury and is going to miss this fight. Still no quality wins for Thurman.

Yeah, this was the last thing he needed, but to be honest, it took too long to make. You had that postponement where people thought the fight was dead back in December or January IIRC. It's crazy how difficult it is for Gaymon fighters, under the same promotion, to make fights against each other.

We talk about this cold war issue when it's GBP/Top Rank/PBC, but for some reason, Gaymon's biggest fighters just don't end up fighting each other until it's irrelevant or too late.

Quack Quack, I smell a Duck running away from the ring. Many boxers have said that Porter was going to walk through Thurman, that he (Porter) was too strong for him and would overwhelm him with his style, so now maybe KT is getting wind of this and having second thoughts.

Just another way of looking at this, no I didn't bother to see if his injury was real; I just want to sensationalize the talk on this forum as things are getting stale here, without me, KoolC107, Cheppa and a few others this forum would be as boring as the Klits vs Fury fight.

shame, thought porter was gonna bust him up. thurman really doesn't need this kind of bother, he needs to be notching up decent wins.

Thurman goes Quack Quack as the doctors state the following:

Thurman’s injuries are not considered serious and he is expected to be cleared to resume training in the coming weeks

Sounds like a Duckwalk to me.

Doesn't sound like a duck at all. He is fighting a top level opponent and needs to be in a perfect shape. Or you are alleging that he staged the incident ???

I just hope that it is rescheduled for about a month later. I was looking forward to it. It will answer some important questions.

No, I'm not alleging anything. I'm simply going by the fact that he is cleared to continue training therefore if he can train then he can fight right now too.

He isnt cleared to train now though. It said he would be expected to be cleared to resume training in the coming weeks which makes sense for a month or so delay.

I've never experienced an airbag, but hear they can provide a good amount of force. The way it sounds he tried to spar afterwards but got extremely stiff in the neck and shoulders, kind of like whiplash. Not a serious injury, but the doctor ordered rest, so I don't look at it as a duck.

Doctors will say whatever you want for the right price, not saying this is what's happened here just that you never know...

Thurman isn't ducking Porter you idiot. He got injured and needs time to recuperate. What would he gain if he would take the fight, come into it in lesser shape than if he had a full training camp and lose his title because of it? Porter isn't just some c level guy who you can go into the ring in less than 100% shape and expect to win against. Stop being a hater you douche.

You Thurman Supporters are pathetic. He's obviously not happy with the camp he's having and his weight is probably not where it should be at this point in the game. This move is the oldest in the game and now becoming a common place in Boxing and it's pathetic. You've got a stiff neck? Poor baby. He's a pussy for life in my book and I was in his corner in this one but now i hope Porter rips his head off. Thurman's glass jaw has been trying to make an appearance for years and i hope it has a coming out party when he finally grow a couple hairy ones and steps through the ropes.

I think a genius once said, "the more accomplished fighter must lose".

How can any of you have all this hate for Thurman?
Thurman can't handle Porter?
Thurman does everything as good or better than Brook.

Thurman a duck?
If Thurman beats Spence last year, it's a wasted fight.
Algieri is the best fighter Spence will face by a good distance.

Thurman has tried to fight everyone,
and he goes for the KO.

What's the problem?

When Thurman does eventually fight Porter, he'll knock his ass out i'm sure of it. Thurman has a great check left hook and Porter leaps in like a lunatic with no thought of what's coming back at him. If Broner a natural 140 fighter can put Porter on his ass with a leaping left hook, then Thurman certainly can.

I expect Thurman to have some rocky moments throughout the early stages of the fight but he'll come through it ok IMO.

I don't think Thurman beats Spence imo, but hopefully time will tell. A wasted fight? Thurman vs Collazo was a wasted fight.
Algieri will tell us a lot about Spence.

Porter will tell us far more about Thurman, if it ends up happening.

I don't see why he's getting so much flack over this, it's just a delay, nobody has said the fight won't be rescheduled.

I think it's fair enough that a fighter doesn't want to go into a fight having been unable to train properly
