Tommy Langford: Current and Future Fights (targets BJ Saunders)

Post by Ringnews24 »

My recent interview with Tommy Langford. He talks about Taylor, BJ Saunders, Eubank Jr, Blackwell, Ryder and more.

I hope you enjoy it.

------

Last time we spoke you said you wanted to push up the rankings to put yourself in the position to be mixing it with the best fighters in the division. The WBO have you ranked fourth; have you set any new goals?

It’s still my goal to keep pushing down that road really – I mean obviously being ranked fourth by the WBO puts you not too far off that world title shot, and given that Billy Joe[Saunders]’s with allegedly as well, it’s an easier fight to make. That being said, obviously it would be nice to make it a bigger fight – push on and win a few more contests and that will get me even higher up and potentially a mandatory position.

Saw him smash the other Blackwell brother a few years ago in sparring. Nice lad. Good people, knowledgeable in boxing, nutrition & fitness around him in the day job which can only help him along.

Good read that, big fan of Tommy's just hope he's not rushed to a world title shot with that high WBO ranking. Mind you couldn't knock him for taking the fight if its offered.

Thanks Ste. Glad you enjoyed it. Tommy talks well on TV, I think the fact Warren gives his fighters a chance to appear on allegedly as co-commentators adds to their experience and makes it easier to interview as they feel more comfortable.
