Soliman requires knee operation - Douglas fight is off
Soliman-Douglas fight date postponed
A niggling knee injury has put a stop to Sam Soliman’s fight against Antoine Douglas, which was to be held in Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 5th.
Soliman’s Manager, David Stanley said: “Sam is bitterly disappointed, but we view it as a temporary setback only. Postponing the fight is the right thing to do, as it makes no sense to fight injured, particularly at the level Sam fights at.
“We feel for Antoine Douglas’s team, but that’s the ups and downs of boxing. This is only a delay, as Sam has his sights set on taking on Douglas, who we know is a tough, savvy and hungry boxer.”
“Sam’s doctors have said Sam needs immediate arthroscopic surgery on his knee and he will be back in full training within six seeks and ‘fight fit’ eight weeks after that.”
“Once our US fight commitment is completed, there are negotiations for a very exciting opportunity later in the year. The risk of fighting injured, against medical advice would also impact on this opportunity. ”
Sam Soliman said: “I was powering along, and was in what I considered the best form of my career, but I’m taking onboard the advice of medical experts and am going to get myself right again.
“I’m no shirker, but I would have been letting myself and my fans down if I went into a fight knowing I was injured.”

Those wonky 42 year old knees have failed Sam again.
Can't wait to hear some fool claim they won't believe he's injured until they see the scars

Probably found out there is WADA testing and has to flush the Oxifilirine out of his system.

Sam could post a video of the operation and pictures of the scars and you'd still be claiming he was lying about the injury. Just like you did when he injured his knee against Taylor.
Everyone in the boxing world believed Soliman was genuinely injured against Taylor except for you and your trolling mates who thankfully aren't allowed to post here any more.

Got anything to support your claim? Anything at all? Or are you just trying to defame Sam Soliman yet again with your unfounded innuendo?DA GOOSE wrote:Probably found out there is WADA testing and has to flush the Oxifilirine out of his system.

An athlete over age 40 having knee problems is suspicious in your world?DA GOOSE wrote:Probably found out there is WADA testing and has to flush the Oxifilirine out of his system.
The fight was going to be in Pennsylvania, I would be surprised if they have strict drug testing in that state.
Knee problems at his age? This could turn out to be the end of the road for his boxing career.

I was joking mate. A lot of people here don't like the fact I thought he feigned injury in the fight with Taylor and gave 3 different versions of what round it happened. So I was winding them up.Perseus wrote:An athlete over age 40 having knee problems is suspicious in your world?DA GOOSE wrote:Probably found out there is WADA testing and has to flush the Oxifilirine out of his system.

With Sam Soliman pulling out due to injury, Avtandil Khurtsidze (31-2-2, 20KOs) of Brooklyn is the replacement opponent for Antoine Douglas.
Re: Soliman requires knee operation - Douglas fight is off
Surprisingly good replacement given the late notice.

Bad luck for Soliman, it would have been a good fight with Douglas, hopefully they can reschedule it when Soliman recovers.

True. He hasn't lost since N'Jikam beat him in 2010.crusader wrote:Surprisingly good replacement given the late notice.

Stopped Douglas in the last I see. Knocked him down a couple of times in earlier rounds too.
