Joseph Parker Vs Carlos Takam IBF Mandatory Eliminator
Its official ladies and gentlemen.. Parker will face Takam at April 17th, his best opponent to date for a chance to face the Winner of Joshua/Martin..
I really hope Anthony Joshua wins and so does Parker so we could have a potential heavyweight BOMBS AWAY title fight...
The venue would sell MASSIVELY in the UK.. but I think it also does great in the US, If Joshua wants to become a global star this is his chance (By the way im more of a Parker fan)
I have to get excited about a heavyweight title fight like this for a long long time, please guys win your bouts!

AJ would sell massively against anyone if he wins a world title, it doesn't matter if its against Parker or Takam. Also why would the US love to see a Brit VS a Kiwi? They don't even care about there current "champion" Martin.Aaronide_ger wrote:

I'm massively excited about this fight though too and really rate Parker as you do

They will get excited because its heavyweight boxing and both joshua and parker are killing machines.. USA loves heavyweights, IM not saying it would do better than the UK but it would create decent amount of attention and could sell tickets with a good undercard.. it would be a great start for Joshua if he wants to build himself in the US..Larrylefthook wrote:AJ would sell massively against anyone if he wins a world title, it doesn't matter if its against Parker or Takam. Remember US love heavyweights.. Just like what Lennox did going in the US.
I also heard some rumours Joshua vs Parker could potentially be staged in Las Vegas but I think it will never happen.
Re: Joseph Parker Vs Carlos Takam IBF Mandatory Eliminator
The big unanswered question is whether Joshua would be allowed into America due to past discretion s? Both him and Eddie have been asked this countless times on social media but have blanked the questions

Great fight for Parker to finally show how good he is. Hope him and AJ both come through they're next fights to set up a mega fight. Dates will be an issue for this one for when the IBF enforce the mandatory. like to be enforced at end of the year so will probably have to wait until next summer if staged in UK as Hearn will want this at Wembley.

Be interesting to see how Parker gets on. I think he might be a little too fragile unfortunately. I hope not though as he's a good prospect from what I've seen
Re: Joseph Parker Vs Carlos Takam IBF Mandatory Eliminator
Wouldnt be surprised if Parker lost to be honest. I've watched quite a few of his fights and whilst he does certain things very well- he has very fast hands for a big guy in combination, good size, pretty decent jab although flicks it out a little at times. Boxing IQ so-so. However the area I think will be his downfall will be his feet- his footwork is not the best! His feet are slow and and he just doesnt use his feet very well. People may disagree with me on that but it's something i've picked up on.

Interesting fight and not a given for Parker.
But both good fighters so will make for an interesting defence, either way, providing Joshua wins the title of course.
Takam would be a solid first test for him and arguably harder than Martin.
But I think we'd all like to see Joshua vs Parker. Two really good (although far from perfect) prospects.
