Too much amateur psychology here.
He kicked off with Kiko and Avalos in the week of the fight and it didn't seem to have an effect on the night, don't see why it would this time. He's been well aware for the last 3 months that they're trying to play mind games with him, they threw one back at Quigg today with the row over the dressing room.

What has Quigg done in terms of playing mind games? Turned up to all the press conferences with a smile on his face? Brutal.

He brought up sparring stories from years ago for one, Gallagher and Hearn have been at it from the start.

That's exactly it. Quigg has barely had to try and Frampton's been wound up. Sparring stories were brought up at the first pressers, but since then little and Frampton's still got a bee in his bonnet. Probably only sprung the dressing room thing as bit of a Hail Mary last gasp attempt. What's probably most telling is that when it was "sorted" Quigg said alright then and left it, where as Frampton went to great lengths to explain/distance himself from how completely not bothered he was about it.

I wouldn't blame Quigg directly for any mind games that have been played, he has been a puppet in the hands of Hearn and Gallagher.
Quigg seems like a simple fellow, I wouldn't expect him to attempt to engage in mind games off his own back.
Sitting there and grinning, now that he does very well...

It is like the WWE mindset...so simplistic. I think some people wouldn't be surprised if Eddie jumped in and hit Quigg with a chair, as he leaves up the ramp at the MEN with his new subject, Carl Frampton!

Joe did make an interesting comment I saw in an interview today- he said that Carl didnt sell his full allocation of tickets and returned some to Hearn.

He returned a fair few.

Funny I emailed Matchroom to see if I could get my £100 Fightpass seats upgraded as they had so many returned. Knew I was being a bit cheeky but thought fornicate it, I spend my few quid on fight tickets to Eddies shows why not ask. Guess what??

So, the secondary market is week, you can buy tickets from the official outlet now and several undercard fighters are tweeting they've got some left... Not bad for an event that sold out in minutes! Eddie just can't help it.

I think Quiggs seeming lack of intelligence irked Frampton initially. However i think he started dealing with Quiggs comments a lot better and stopped trying to argue, which is definitely advisable, to the point he even was urging the fans to show Quigg respect.

Hearn definitely gets under his skin, but thats understandable. I don't think it will affect night. Gonna be a great matchup and i think Framptons nous will see him to victory.

What's the weigh in going to be like for this fight? Thousands of Irish? Bar open? Or just the usual shit and dull British weigh in.

SNG wrote:Nah eff that, Quigg is the home fighter he should get his usual dressing room. Carl should have sorted all this stuff out during negotiations if it bothered him, it's a Matchroom show and Frampton is the opponent coming to another country he should get the same treatment as the rest of the fighters Eddie brings over.
I've been a fan of Frampton's and preferred him as a fighter. That said Quigg has warmed on me seeing the behinds footage of him and how obsessed he is with the sport pretty much to the detriment to the rest of his life, his relationship with his Fiancee included- anyway, Carl is being petty here ..... We have to look at the facts, Frampton is first on the poster, he's walking out second, he's being announced second, they chose the size of the ring- they got the bigger split percentage (which i think itself was fair), they've chosen the officials .... Surely Quigg deserves one thing like having the dressing room of his choice. I say all this aswell as someone that can't stand Hearn and wouldnt generally back his fighter for that reason to an extent.

For me , its an interesting fight .. I honestly can't pick the winner , I would like to see Qigg grab the honors . mainly because he just seems to be a down to earth good guy , always smiling and a little bit dumb . with no malicous ness in him just a good honest loyal fighter , Frampton well he plays the game a bit better he's a bit more mature and his loyalty to his trainer and camp will last for about the same time has the dollars keep coming . , which is fair enough .

But the loser in this for me is Shane Mguigan ,,, I watch this guy and think what have you done has a coach , wheres the runs on the board , wheres the years of being an assistant and learning your craft ,, and being a trainer is like being a boxer it takes time to learn ,,, He's acting like a trainer of the stars , loves the limelight , and seems to love the press confrences , ,, I think this fight is so even that if i have to give anyone an advantage , however slight it goes to Quigg , mainly because say what you want about Callagher , love him or hate him , he does have the runs on the board , he has brought kids from scratch , he has took good boxers and made them better , he has suffered the highs and lows ,

Shane is fast becoming just a celebrity trainer , who gets the job because of hype and bullshit .. Lets see how he goes if they lose and then have to put Haye and Groves in with a 50-50 fuight

Yeah but where has Shane being blowing his own trumpet? He hasn't been boastful. Lets not forget its Joe who's got this obsession with Jerry Storey and a consistent back story of how he earnt his stripes in the ams etc. He sounds a bit obsessed and bitter to be honest like the boxing trainer version of Buncey. McGuigan is the internet and Gallagher is print.

Probably a good analogy of what i said ... Mcguigan is the internet and Gallagher the print ... Excatly what i was pointing out . Shane loves it the limelight , Gallagher is more basic ,, but Gallagher has the runs on the board SHANE DOES'NT , although he does love the top trainer limelight . . he should let his dad do the talking and concentrate on the training

I think the key point is Framptons ability to change tactics mid rounds and box to a straightforward points win. He's just a more rounded boxer. Quigg is good, but not as good as Frampton.

On what basis is Eddie Hearn calling Blain McGuigan a 'little boy, who knows nothing'?

The bloke really is a piece of sh1t. The hair dye is clearly turning his brain to mush. Hearn shouldnt forget that he is only dinning at the top table because of the relationship that his daddy built with Sky.

A total arrogant prick.

I can see why he riles Frampton so much. If Frampton finishes Quigg early I can see a pumped up Frampton getting in Hearn's face and giving him a volley of abuse. Id love to see Frampton swing for Hearn after the fight.
