On the face of it, i am not too impressed... Brahmer has a reputation as a big puncher and as Magee stopped Thysse I would have thought Jurgen would have done the same?
Did Magee stop him legit? I didnt see the fight? I seem to haev vague recollection that the ref stopped a one sided beating?
Anyone see it??
Comments please???
Anyone see Thysse V Brahmer??

Yep I watched this one: Brahmer started impressively, giving Thysse a pretty sound beating over the first half of the fight.
The German throws a vicious looking left hand, and I was thinking this South African is one tough SOB: every time it looked like he might be hurt, he'd drop his hands and smile.
Didn't see the Magee and Kessler fights, but I'd guess you have to hit Thysee with something like a baseball bat to floor him.
But I thought Brahmer looked out of shape: he was blowing hard between rounds as early as round three. And he was lucky to survive the last round, he was absolutely exhausted & had nothing left.
So I'm not sure about Brahmer....maybe he didn't train too much for this one. Still reckon he'd take out Froch though.
Funny, as German TV seem to be trying to portray Brahmer as an all round nice guy in the build up - but with those psycho straring eyes it's a hard sell
And it must have been a pretty vicious assault for him to be behind bars for three years you'd think.

Not as far as I remember, I think is was a mercy stoppage by the referee.knockout wrote:Frei! How was the Thysse v Kessler fight?? Jürgen had a shoulder injury one week before the fight. His team wanted to cancel the fight. he wanted to fight and wasn´t able to make hard punches from round 5 on.....He tried too hard to knock him in the early rounds out. wrong tactic. Thysse has an iron head. everybody knows that e.g. after the Beyer fight
