Are you being sarcastic with describing Wigan v Bury as massive?
Certainly sounds like it ha ha . Wigan and Bury . a match to rival Man u and MAN C HA HA .

. It could kick off , but who knows , only seems to happen when one group have the upper hand , being a lot of irish coming over , chance are a lot of the local gypsies will be with them plus there a huge amount of irish ancestry in Manchester , I can certainly see a lot of alchahol and banter going on , wether it turns nasty well , it is a boxing match anything can happen .. Just like to see any arsholes picking on the weaker , get smashed and would'nt care which set of fans smashes them .
You lot obviously know nothing, it's a huge game up here that. Roads are closed police are manning train stations and tram stops. Wigan goes over to Bury with a heavy crowd and there's always trouble, City-United maybe not but certainly on par with something like Burnley-Tranmere.

Only seen it with no sound. Was it pro Frampton?
Sounded like it, Quigg had some support in there but he got booed, big roar for Frampton in comparison. Hearn even paid the effing band to turn up and give Quigg some extra support.

Irish renowned for making a lot of noise in support, no? Thought they prided themselves on it. I think when that Irish girl boxed at the last Olympics decibel records were broken in the hall apparently.
Went there once. Our fighter got the W, albeit the opponent was from over the border in Ireland. All very good natured and indeed friendly bunch.
Yeah true mate. I usually go over to Belfast for Framptons fights and the atmosphere is the best I've experienced. I think it will be similar tonight. Gutted I'm not there!

I'm here. The feel is very Irish and has been all day.

I don't think many of Frampton's fans would describe themselves as "Irish" .... Ulster men or Northern Irish.

There was a huge police presence outside the arena. Far bigger than I've seen there before. I only saw two dust ups in the arena, not bad for there.

Yeah loads of cops. At least the rivalry was largely good natured. Good atmosphere too.

Massive police presence inside and outside the arena did see one little kick off (5 on 5 roughly) on the way out that was it.

Agree re the above all Frampton fans I saw/spoke to were northern irish/ulster men. They came over in their thousands (crowd probably 70/30 Frampton) and all the ones we encountered were great lads. I was always a Frampton fan so made up but even my mate with his quigg t shirt was still making friends from northern Ireland left right and centre even yesterday round the pubs great laughs and banter genuinely sound people

Bit of trouble in Printworks, but nothing major, talking to a few Quigg fans on way to arena n sound enough, kept asking us to sing songs for them
