Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
'Big fight nearly always let boxing fans down, Frampton Quigg is a snooze fest. Thousands of fans have paid a lot of money for this s***, get stuck in. Absolute b******* fight. Pleased I left & came home'
I am a fan of Tyson but this rant is a nonsense. Hypocrisy in its purest form considering his 'dance off' with Wlad! That fight made Frampton/Quigg look like Gatti/Ward!! I get he likes to be controversial but he should have a bit more respect for his fellow pros.

Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
True, there was more action in this fight than Fury v Klit and thats saying something! he's got a hard neck putting that out there.
Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
his twitter comments during the fight was better than the fight itself ,he's the heavyweight champion he can say what he likes.

I agree with him it wasn't great. But by the same logic he also has to admit he dictated a snooze fest with Klit aswell...

Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
I agree with him BUT, it was better than his fight with Wlad.
Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
My point is that his fight with Klitschko (best night of his career) wasn't exactly PPV worthy so he's being hypocritical criticising last nights fight. I'm a fan of Tyson and have seen all of his pro fights but there's a fine line between funny comments and being a knob! Tyson has fallen in the latter category with this rant.stevedoc wrote:his twitter comments during the fight was better than the fight itself ,he's the heavyweight champion he can say what he likes.

Fury put on a great performance.tigermoth87 wrote:I agree with him BUT, it was better than his fight with Wlad.
Both Quigg and Frampton looked poor.

Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
Fury did exactly what he needed too to nullify Wlad, no question. But it doesn't change the fact the fact was a boring snoozefest so really, he shouldn't comment and tell Quigg and Frampton to "get stuck in" if he's not going to do the same vs Wlad.Horse wrote:Fury put on a great performance.tigermoth87 wrote:I agree with him BUT, it was better than his fight with Wlad.

I say this as a fan of Fury btw, big fan of the guy. I think he's by far the best in the division and could retire undefeated. But I can't side with him calling Quigg vs Frampton a snoozefest and telling them to get stuck in when his fight with Wlad was the same.
Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
Fury did what he had to do to win and he deserves enormous credit for that but he's criticising last nights main event and his fight with Wlad was bland in comparison! Last nights fight wasn't 'one for the ages' but it was better than Fury/Klit.Horse wrote:Fury put on a great performance.tigermoth87 wrote:I agree with him BUT, it was better than his fight with Wlad.

I enjoyed Fury vs Wlad a lot more. It had a much better storyline.Stuarty30 wrote:Fury did what he had to do to win and he deserves enormous credit for that but he's criticising last nights main event and his fight with Wlad was bland in comparison! Quigg vs Frampton's story was that Gallagher is a simpleton who tells his fighters to do stupid things.

Fury was winning the rounds though, against a very dangerous opponent.tigermoth87 wrote:Fury did exactly what he needed too to nullify Wlad, no question. Quigg was cluelessly giving rounds away and was just being boring with absolutely no benefit.
Being stupidly boring is a lot worse than being smartly boring.
Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
i get what you're saying but wlad was a big puncher that could of took tyson out and he used the tactics he needed to get the win ,but last night neither guys were big punchers there was no need to be so cautious by either fighterStuarty30 wrote:My point is that his fight with Klitschko (best night of his career) wasn't exactly PPV worthy so he's being hypocritical criticising last nights fight. Yeah Fury did what he had to do but the fight itself was boring. Last nights fight was a better fight. Frampton and Quigg both carry the power to KO one another so I can understand the cautious approach. There was a lot on the line last night and I think it came down to neither guy wanting to lose rather than either guy going all out to get the win. I think it would be a better fight if they move up to feather.stevedoc wrote:i get what you're saying but wlad was a big puncher that could of took tyson out and he used the tactics he needed to get the win ,but last night neither guys were big punchers there was no need to be so cautious by either fighterStuarty30 wrote:My point is that his fight with Klitschko (best night of his career) wasn't exactly PPV worthy so he's being hypocritical criticising last nights fight. Was it when I insulted Nathan Cleverly's reign as WBO champion?
Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
He was also talking about how Galahad would beat them both which is ridiculous.
Have to say he made up for those stupid comments with this about AJ

Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
I agree. Fury had a plan and outboxed Wlad in an unexpected result. Frampton and Quigg just never performed. And Furys fight may not have been aestheticly pleasing but to me it was entertaining as it was interesting watching Fury rip up the script.Horse wrote:Fury put on a great performance.tigermoth87 wrote:I agree with him BUT, it was better than his fight with Wlad.

Frampton - Quigg looked like a tentative southern area fight....
Re: Fury Rant RE: Frampton/Quigg
The end product isn't the point. The point is that the Fury fight was not good to watch. Frampton Quigg wasn't good to watch but it was better than the Fury fight! He has a cheek to be critical!reggaereggae wrote:I agree. Fury had a plan and outboxed Wlad in an unexpected result. Frampton and Quigg just never performed.
