Quigg moving up

Post by Wales »

Scott Quigg is moving up to Featherweight, surely Frampton will have to do same looking at how he struggled in latter rounds last Sat.

Rematch? But will it sell?

Are we meant to believe that he had trouble making weight or something? What a bitch!

Pathetic, weak move.

Gallagher is a disgrace to boxing and should be monitored.

Moving up in weight after a loss is for mental midgets. Quigg should be shamed to stay were he is.

Unforgivably pathetic. I'm actually shocked!

I didn't see such a spineless move coming from Quigg!

Absolute Disgrace!

What can we do to have him stripped of his BBBofC licence to train impressionable, young fighters?

The man is a menace. He's an absolute disgrace to British boxing.

He's going to destroy the innocent, young Scott Quigg's career.

What a despicable wretch.

I think Horse has finally lost it tonight. Joe G should be monitored, he should be stripped of his licence, Murray would be a P4P'er if the judges knew what they were doing! This is up there with the John Partridge post! "He should be monitored "! Proper lol'ed at that.

Frampton struggled? Quigg applied pressure and Frampton looked troubled by the attack to the body but still fought back strongly and even dominated the final round. I am not sure how that translates to struggling in the later rounds (certainly in relation to your point which appears to suggest weight being the issue)

From what I read quigg said he would move up to chase a rematch with Frampton if Frampton moved up to feather

The fact he is going to be on liquid feed for 4 weeks will see weight drop off him anyways. Moving up when there is no necessity seems daft

Would he move back down if Hearn offered him the Selby fight?

What do you know about his weight making? You don't think he looked drained at the weigh in? What's your ring record by the way since you think you can accuse boxers of being "spineless"?

I disagree, Gallagher has been talking about Quigg moving up for a while.

If he had won and then moved up he would have been called a coward for not fighting Rigondeaux, so he can't win either way.

He will need a few months to let his jaw recover, then no doubt a tune up, it may well be a year until his next big fight, if he isn't struggling at the weight now he may be by then.

I see nothing wrong with it, if it is true.

The article I read simply said that if Frampton moves up then Quigg would too for the rematch.
Quigg looked very gaunt at the weigh in to me.
