If we are talking meanest, Crawford needs to enter the conversation.crusader wrote:The thread title says 'Pound-for-Pound' and the article posted by OP features a P4P list, so Fury shouldn't get defaulted over others because he's bigger.
If baddest means meanest, I'd say Kovalev is probably at the top among elite boxers.
Who’s the Pound-for-Pound Baddest Man on The Planet Today?

I think kovalev could knock fury out.

I am thinking that he might be favored. In fact, he should think about going after him.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I think kovalev could knock fury out.

The move to heavyweight is inevitably a permanent one.Tanzio wrote:I am thinking that he might be favored. In fact, he should think about going after him.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I think kovalev could knock fury out.
Re: Who’s the Pound-for-Pound Baddest Man on The Planet Today?
Not necessarily, as long as he stayed relatively close to his LHW fighting weight. But, I agree, it is not a good idea and, tbh, Fury would likely defeat him.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:The move to heavyweight is inevitably a permanent one.Tanzio wrote:I am thinking that he might be favored. When I think, 'Baddest Man on the Planet' I think of which boxer I'd least enjoy spilling a drink on. Given that any pro fighter would give me a life threatening beating inside of ten seconds, I don't consider a heavyweight more of a valid pick than anyone else.
I'm going with Kovalev.

Kovalev would be nice to you, let you buy him a bottle of Smirnoff neck it in one and do you with the empty bottle.Lenny Cravats wrote:When I think, 'Baddest Man on the Planet' I think of which boxer I'd least enjoy spilling a drink on. Crappy list. If it is about in the ring danger then Thurman and Fury should not be on it. If it is about out of the ring antics, Golovkin and Thurman should not be on it. If it is most avoided Wilder and Fury should not be on it. If its a p4p list then Thurman and Wilder should not be on it. So in other words its a crappy list.Davidreed wrote:Whats your view's about this topic???

Was going to say Beterbiev. He's got that iced look. Like he could chop up a body then have a steak afterwards

Baddest in term's of his extreme skills. So nothing taking away from him...tigermoth87 wrote:GGG hits like a hammer but he comes across as too much of a nice guy to be called the baddest man on the planet.

Baddest Men On The Planet
1. GGG
2. Kovalev
3. Crawford
4. Canelo
5. Wilder
I think that the "baddest" men on the planet climb into the ring with one goal in mind, Destruction. They don't want skip around the ring only fighting at the 10 second clapper at the end of every round like Floyd. These guys aren't happy until they break someone's face and will in the ring and they take it personally.

He comes across as really nice & personable & doesn't go in for the intimidation claptrap, but he'll casually tear your head off & be all nice about it afterwards.

Thread title says POUND FOR POUNDTanzio wrote:First of all, we are talking about the baddest boxer on the planet, not the baddest man on the planet.
Tyson Fury is the World's HW Champion. By definition that makes him the baddest boxer on the planet. If Krusher or 3G or FMJ or SOGgy have a problem with that they can challenge the king of the hill. HW is an open division.
Tyson Fury defeated the king which makes him king until defeated.
