- Excellent fight that I favor Browne in.
He's a bit slow, but he's very steady and works his timing into the fight, and as we know, time trumps speed, especially with a natural size and power advantage. His majory disadvantage is being part of a corrupt WBA fight and the typical monkeyshines that go along with this kind of hometown fight. See TUE 49-0 for how that works.

I think Browne has a good chance of winning.

Couldn't have put it more clearly myself.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote:-

I suspect Chagaev will be far too good, but would be happy for Browne if he won (as long as he fights Parker for his first defense

I will be very surprized if he win, and will be very worry for his health...he wasn't paid to come to Islamic Chechnia and win a Muslim boxer in front of Muslim crowd, headed by Chechnia Sultan KadirovFreedom2013 wrote:I think Browne has a good chance of winning.

Be great if Browne did win but he is pretty poor, that fight with Towers was just comical and now Browne fighting for a world title ![[icon_knockout.gif] :KO:](./images/smilies/icon_knockout.gif)

Very surprised to recognice Tyrone Spong in the public (the only Dutch heavyweight boxer, he's actually a kickboxer, but when he broke his leg while kickboxing he started boxing as well). At this moment he's the only Dutch heavyweight pro boxer in the world as far as I know.
Btw the referees once again vote against the Russian in Russia, while everybody around, including the English reporters thought the Russian actually won most rounds (in the fight "Viskhan Murzabekov against Ali Funeka" ).
You can say whatever you want about referees during fights in Russia, but not that they work in advantage of the Russians.

Funeka with a SD upset on the undercard. The Russian started well and dropped him, but then shut down for 5 of the last 6 rounds.

Bad judging in Grozny - home boxer gets robbed. Only ever happens Russia and Ukraine. They try too hard to be fair.
And Deontay Wilder is afraid to fight there? Nothing to fear from the officials, they are more likely to rob Povetkin.

Exactly this, I've told it before, the whole world also said Klitschko should have been disqualified as well.Freedom2013 wrote:Bad judging in Grozny - home boxer gets robbed. Only ever happens Russia and Ukraine. They try too hard to be fair.

I had Murzabekov winning but it was close. He probably blew it in the second half by fighting as if he just needed to hear the bell to win.

Chag and Browne in the ring.

Tyrone Spong seems to be part of Chagaev's team (?)
Tyrone Spong would be the ideal trainingspartner for Deontay Wilder btw, same height, similar reach and weight as Povetkin, and he can take a beat.

2-0 Chag
Commentary a bit generous to Browne.

About every 50 seconds Chagaev gives a beat and you see Browne thinking... Hmmm perhaps this guy is a little too good for me.
I have Chagaev winning all 5 rounds atm.
Browne got Knocked down and is very lucky to make it to the next round, every punch Chagaev delivers seems to be 10 times as effective as any punch Browne delivers.
6-1 now, Browne won round 7
Round 6 seems to have been too long, round 7 seems to have been much to short

Wish I could watch it even though it doesn't sound that Browne is doing too well.
