Ronnie 'the shark' Clark vs Jordan 'Jordy' McCorry

Post by mainman1 »

Anyone going along to see this? I think this will be a really close match up with Ronnie coming away with a well deserved victory. Ronnie really has been unlucky and I like his fight anyone, anywhere, anytime attitude. Jordy is a decent boxer but won't be able to handle Ronnie's angles and unorthodox punches.

Always looking out for Ronnies fights, purely down to this forum. He's definitely been unlucky in at least one of the draws and two of his defeats (Evans + James, could have went either way). Even the last fight I thought it was going to go the other way at the end the other lad seemed to be tiring. Either way, I hope he wins this and going to say he'll squeak it based on nothing more than I hope he does it and his opponents record isn't that impressive - Got beat of a Latvian 6-9.

Don't be fooled by Podusovs record. He's a decent fighter.

Podusov is a very decent fighter and very awkward. Both fighters have fought him. If you were to go on that would expect Ronnie to win.. I think this is a very very tough fight Mcrorry was a very decent amateur which gives him a little advantages. He is also very rough and might give Ronnie a few things he has never seen. I think first few rounds will be cagey then Ronnie will be far too strong. I think he will force a stoppage or close points decision

Ronnie stops Jordan in last round. Was close fight, judges had Jordan ahead on card. Ronnie rocked Jordan every time he landed but a great fight respect to Jordan

Cracking fight and Ronnie done well to win in the last round, Ronnie was 4,3 & 1 round down going into the last and pulled it off with 17 sec to go, Jordan wasn't in a good enough condition to carry on, credit to both fighters and there fans who generated a cracking atmosphere :TU:

Was a cracking fight Jordy spoiled sell and led a lot with his head.. Not the best Ronnie we have seen. I preferred Ronnie's work but most rounds were close. . That right hand would of stopped anyone that late in a fight He was in a bad way

What's concerning is he was way down on the cards against a very average fighter, good match though and a rematch would be good to watch or Micheal Roberts v Ronnie would be good

Lewis Ritson will be a special fighter, I'd gladly put him in for the British today.
Eddie Hearn talks up O' hara Davis and offered us the fight on the same date Lewis was already fighting (and two weeks notice lol) however Matchroom were told we would take that fight anytime has they seem to struggle for opponents for him, all we want is sufficient notice and a title on the line, then Lewis will gladly beat him. :bag:

Billy a good fighter finds a way to win even when he had a bad day at the office. . I think you are given Jordan a disservice there. He was a good amateur and has the best trainer in Britain in his corner. Had good tactics he's good technically it's just a shame he uses his head so much.. Counter and grab was also frustrating Ronnie.. Every time Ronnie was connecting his legs were going tonight showed how powerful Ronnie is when he connects. The finishing punch was devastating. He still hadn't recovered when the decision was getting read out. Judges scorecards are irrelevant as he stopped him. As for Michael Roberts you know he won't take the fight so why put his name forward? I would love to see him in a rematch with Troy James first one was very close. Would love to see this on the big stage that both fighters deserve. .

Finally I am very proud of my brother he fights everyone put in front of him. He struggles in a city that doesn't have the same facilities or coaches as the bigger cities. He is away from home most of the year and is so dedicated to the sport. He would genuinely help anyone. . As he was leaving last night he was approached for pictures. Or just to shake his hand from loads of other fighters fans he stopped for everyone. I hope he gets a crack on the TV for his next fight

Billy trust me we are not worried about the way that fight panned out, mistakes were made that no doubt Davie would explain when he sees you. Ronnie had a bad night at office, judges had it wider than me but as said irrelevant as he stopped him. Ronnie has things to work on and I wouldn't say he's the finished article by a long shot. Ronnie doesn't have a full time trainer due to his location and travels all over sparring. He'll keep banging on the door for his chance and hopefully it all comes together. Michael Roberts fight will never happen we all know that!!

Great win for Ronnie, he phoned me a few days ago, he sounded in a fantastic place mentally, very fit and raring to go, great lad is ronnie, I'm very happy for him, it's nothing more than he thoroughly deserves, he's a grafter and committed, and with that win being a eliminator aswell then that rematch with Troy ( even though ronnie made fight closer towards the end, and it was competitive throughout, Troy did win clearly, Ronnie let the earlier rounds slip away, a few inc a couple reporters had scored it similar to us with no bias, 97-94 for Troy ) but was very good fight, and I promised Ronnie a rematch if he gets into a postition again that the board would pass for the title if Troy won it or it became vacant, well it seems very possible now that may happen for the titles as Walsh will more than likely vacate, I'm over the moon for him and would love to see him and Troy fight for the titles, both done it the hard way and both very much deserve it :TU:

Great attitude dean and shows the amazing side of boxing. I had Troy winning the 1st fight and my brother had Ronnie up by 1 but so many close rounds . Troy took middle of fight and Ronnie finished strong with a cagey start but he had to do more. Both fighters will have improved with time in gym and we are just greateful for any opportunities he gets. He is genuinely a nice guy, a little loopy but his mentality is bang on what boxers should be acting like and we need more like him. troy has been deserving his shot for a long time and I hope the belt doesn't remain wrapped up and we can see another great fight over a longer distAnce and the best man wins

of coarse the judges cards are irrelevant but what's not irrelevant is Ronnie has been comprehensively outfoxed in his last two contests,I don't see why the fight with Micheal couldn't happen
