Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
he is light years away from having the speed, the athletiscm, the power from rigo. easy night. but since i do not like boring fights, if rigo fights good, than all credit to him, if he fights like floyd, than eff him. yet in terms of boxing, rigo easily beats him, thats clear cut.
not starting about quigg, what was he doing, i thought he was a puncher, the taller bigger aggressor, not much came from him.
oh god, i just hope yamanaka, vasyl or cruz get their act together, along with rigos promoter, that we can see the elite fight the elite between those division, so much top match ups and nothing happens. well except vasyl-walters, thats a stunner.

It's about level of opposition, Quigg fought at a level (slow paced and very cautious) that allowed that performance from Frampton.Chepppaaa wrote:he is light years away from having the speed, the athletiscm, the power from rigo. easy night. but since i do not like boring fights, if rigo fights good, than all credit to him, if he fights like floyd, than eff him. yet in terms of boxing, rigo easily beats him, thats clear cut.
Frampton has more than, and maybe Rigondeaux would force that.
I don't see it being one for the casuals, but I favour Rigo on points.

Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Frampton clearly took it easy for the first 7 rounds because Quigg didn't push the action, I cant blame Frampton for not making it exciting as there was a lot at stake (money and bragging rights) so he just coasted raking up the rounds. For me the 12th round showed the difference in class between the 2 as Quigg had been putting all he had in rounds 8-11 but then Frampton went back to his boxing and dominated the 12th.ttornado wrote:It's about level of opposition, Quigg fought at a level (slow paced and very cautious) that allowed that performance from Frampton.Chepppaaa wrote:he is light years away from having the speed, the athletiscm, the power from rigo. easy night. but since i do not like boring fights, if rigo fights good, than all credit to him, if he fights like floyd, than eff him. yet in terms of boxing, rigo easily beats him, thats clear cut.

Rigo would be a clear favourite against Frampton but I don't think it would be a complete whitewash as some think.
Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
rigondeaux would school frampton and scott quigg in the same night one after the other. its a shame that his boxing skills are so underappreciated and he isn't really a big draw so the fight doesn't make financial sense therefore we probably won't ever see the bout made.
and that all the others in the division are frightened of him

Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Let's see Frampton v Rigo. Frampton has the pop, skills and gifts to compete, and he has earned the test.
Rigo should be favored but Frampton should go after him. He should test himself against the acknowledged king of the hill.
After Rigo's fight on March 12, I think that it could be a successful promotion in Frampton's backyard.

Fighters like Quigg and Frampton have more than a punchers chance against Rigo who is no stranger to visiting the canvas and who's biggest potential risk is stinking the joint out and the audience walking out. Noone is "frightened of him". Fighters were frightened of George Foreman, not Guillermo Rigondeaux.
Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Well that wouldn't be surprising considering Rigo is like no3 ATG and undisputed p4p no1 on the planet just nowChepppaaa wrote:he is light years away from having the speed, the athletiscm, the power from rigo. easy night. but since i do not like boring fights, if rigo fights good, than all credit to him, if he fights like floyd, than eff him. yet in terms of boxing, rigo easily beats him, thats clear cut.

The stats don't show everything but they do back up what we all saw coming from Quigg;Larrylefthook wrote: Frampton clearly took it easy for the first 7 rounds because Quigg didn't push the action, I cant blame Frampton for not making it exciting as there was a lot at stake (money and bragging rights) so he just coasted raking up the rounds. and yes, they are frightened of getting embarassed and outclassed, and rigo's skills are genius, yeah his last bout was boring but after all the hype and talk about frampton-quigg

Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Rigo would have no problems with either of these guys. Getting them in the ring to face the truth has been the only issue, and that will remain.
Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Frampton will look to fight either Donaire or Santa Cruz next, not because he is 'frightened' of Rigo, but because these fights make him a hell of a lot more money than Rigo does.
I think Quigg is probably more likely to fight Rigo next as he has less to lose now and will likely be moving up in weight soon, he may decide to have his last fight at the weight against the top man at the weight. But then he may not......

Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Rigondull would ridicule Frampton and bore everyone watching to death in the process. No winners here! I've said it previously and I will say it again, the sooner Rigondull retires the better for boxing.
Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Rigondeaux would destroy Frampton...No Question...

Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Ya, let's act like a guy who was put on jelly legs multiple times by Marroquin and recently dropped twice by Amagasa couldn't possible have an issue with Frampton.
Rigo is obviously good and I'd take him over CF, but he has flaws that Frampton (and Quigg) could exploit.

Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
I would be surprised if Frampton agrees to face Rigo, but hope he does.

like quigg-frampton was super entertaining
but you are absolutly right, if rigo wins in a boring desc than eff him
Re: Rigondeaux would ridicoule Frampton
Instead of chastising a boxer for a "boring style", why not instead chastise the opponents for not being skilled enough to make it a more "exciting" fight? Rigo should just retire because he is too good?
