I'll have a dig through the tapes, see what pops out. I know there's a few fights I have that aren't around digitally that are definitely worth watching.

thats right i have a dvd vhs combi, so have to play the vhs to copy to dvd.
You'd have to do that anyway! Can't record something that's not playing haha.

Normally you do it via a capture card, so it goes via the PC.

Otherwise you're double or triple handling it.

I know what you mean but I bought a decent dvd recorder, does the job for what I want only real issue is that you cannot choose the movie format, avi, wma etc. Its just dvd. I could save time if I had a device that made the footage avi rather than dvd. Its a good piece of kit though.

I spoke to ex pro heavyweight Dave Jules this morning, he's going to get his videos together and send them to you - he's got about 10 fights he says, the ones he won!

Mimmy, do you have the facility to transfer NTSC tapes to DVD? I can play the tapes but have never been able to transfer them to anything. Have a pile of rare stuff. 80s American heavyweight fights that I've never seen anywhere since. Tucker, Broad, Berbick, Tubbs, Snipes, Dokes etc etc. Mostly routine engagements with some of the more loveable members of the journeyman circuit.

Ya, American VHS tapes, so the picture is NTSC rather than European PAL. . .
