Well deserved win there for Skeete. I wish he'd throw the right more though, still looks a bit to fragile to move up to the next level, but good luck to him.

Well I'm not happy but the best man won. Skeete was just a little too slick for Eggy tonight.

The reception was pretty poor, so I can't give an accurate scorecard.
Pretty lame fight.

what a $hit boring fighter Skeete really is , wonder how many tickets he sold ? ten maybe , who would want to watch such negativity , glad the undercard had some entertainment .
Re: Sam Eggington vs. Bradley Skeete and undercard
Well done Skeete. Lovely performance. I used to drink in a pub in Penge years ago so I am claiming him as my own
He does sound a lot like Rodney Trotter though.

Re: Sam Eggington vs. Bradley Skeete and undercard
Good fight i enjoyed it,classic clash of styles cliches etc,i thought Skeete was deserved clear winner,116-112 but different route from Watt and Co,i thought Bradley was excellent at times, really putting on a clinic and his jab was beautiful,he really uses it well and a lot of aspiring boxers of similar stature should take note, apart from a couple rounds where Skeete switched off, i dont think Eggington was ever in it really, even after the late surge i felt he left it too late, brave as ever was Sam but his technical capablities were exposed tonight albeit against a very tidy boxer
Re: Sam Eggington vs. Bradley Skeete and undercard
I like to see boxers coming forward with controlled aggression ,it is actually more entertaining than flicking out mostly counter jabs , his style bores me $hitless , he's not a ticket seller ,there is a reason for that......ThereByTheGrace wrote:Negativity? He is a ticket seller though, always seems to have a good crowd there when he fights, usually plenty in Superman Skeete t-shirts.rd350lc wrote:I like to see boxers coming forward with controlled aggression ,it is actually more entertaining than flicking out mostly counter jabs , his style bores me $hitless , he's not a ticket seller ,there is a reason for that......ThereByTheGrace wrote:Negativity? Ok , fair doos , I'm obviously wrong on this , he has been in some classics over the years and after this win will headline a stadium show in june .expe wrote:He is a ticket seller though, always seems to have a good crowd there when he fights, usually plenty in Superman Skeete t-shirts.rd350lc wrote:I like to see boxers coming forward with controlled aggression ,it is actually more entertaining than flicking out mostly counter jabs , his style bores me $hitless , he's not a ticket seller ,there is a reason for that......ThereByTheGrace wrote:

Re: Sam Eggington vs. Bradley Skeete and undercard
I admire ur sarcasm if he had a dig he would be up there with the brooks of eddies and skys world!. Skeete isn't world class but he does have technique and a bit of class that shows at euro level
Re: Sam Eggington vs. Bradley Skeete and undercard
It sounds like rd350lc isn't a fan of skilled boxing. Not having a dig. You just appear to like face forward brawling.
It was a lovely showing of hit & not be hit. He showed great skills throughout the fight.

Don't make me laugh , you can mix it up a bit , fight off of the back foot, then apply some pressure yourself if you are good enough .Taansend wrote:It sounds like rd350lc isn't a fan of skilled boxing. Not having a dig. You just appear to like face forward brawling.

He only fights one way and I have never seen him in what I would call an entertaining fight .
You know what you are going to get , It just isn't my thing and I actually thought in the first 4 rounds he did get hit - quite a bit .

I wouldn't want every fight to be like that but I do enjoy watching someone execute the art of boxing. I'd like to see him against a top 20 opponent. Someone who comes forward. Hopefully Frank can get it sorted.

Exactly, it was a quality display from a good boxer. Good to see a non matchroom fighter do well on a sky show, he was much better than I've ever seen him performTaansend wrote:I found it to be an entertaining fight.
