Skeeter boxed well and won the bout, he must hit harder than we think or Sam would have just looked in and engaged. I have to say that I thought the commentary was very pro Skeete and they over egged it a bit.

Skeete's performance may have won over even hard boiled fans.

I like Skeete and like watching him fight. I was rooting for Eggington last night though. Skeete is going to need to do more in each round as he steps up.

Think they seem to be jumping straight to the world title against Kono. I'd love it to be in Brum but would need something like Gavin / Eggington to pull in the casuals in Brum which these arena shows need. I believe Gavin's hearing with the board is Wednesday re his license so should knpow more then he's said on twitter he'd take the fight but wants an 8 rounder first.

Gutted for Sam but I'm sure he'll be back the good thing about not being a pampered prospect with padded record is a L isn't a massive deal. If Eggington had to lose his titles I'm glad it was to Skeete I like him proper respectful lad had people who've knocked him but has continued to improve massively over the past couple of years. Thought it was a very nice touch him taking the belt to Dean Powell's memorial bench yesterday :salut:
