X2. How can you allow someone who could have killed his opponents in the ring with loaded gloves to fight again? Boxing is really fvcked up! In no other sport would this shit happen.punchoutsb wrote:I'm a fan of lifetime bans for loaded gloves. Re: Margarito on Saturday
It's such a shame that a piece of sh*t like Margarito is still allowed in the sport after all his years of cheating:
I'm highly suspect of his one punch KO over Six Heads Lewis, I'm sure his gloves were loaded.
I'm highly suspect of his destruction to the ear of Sebastian Lujan.
I'm highly suspect of his demolition of Miguel Cotto's face.
I was so glad the cheating bastard got caught because I thought they would ban him like they did Resto and Panama Lewis but in this day and age Money is King and if you pay enough of it people will gladly look the other way.
Who's to say he haven't found a new way to cheat now that he's coming back again. I hope he gets KTFO.

Somebody has already found a way to cheat.... there is no way that eye would pass any true medical.

Lets all not forget the sad sacks of shitt Pacquiao and Arum both lobbied in Margarito's defense so he could get licensed to compete after getting caught with the loaded gloves. Arum doing so didn't surprise me, but Pac? Maybe he is just too fornicating dumb who knows. To allow him to continue makes people that run boxing look like a bunch of pathetic sacks of crap. Of course not all of boxing is for this happening, but boxing in general gets another black eye.

His eyes suggest thyroid disorder. That happens when the pituitary and hormones are off. Even if regulated by meds the eyes can become unbalanced. One bulges, one doesn't.

Yeah Pacquiao is too dumb, anyone who has enough money to buy themselves out of Top Rank but stays with Arum in that Slave Contract has gotta be a Dumb MFer.Badhusker wrote:Lets all not forget the sad sacks of shitt Pacquiao and Arum both lobbied in Margarito's defense so he could get licensed to compete after getting caught with the loaded gloves. Cotto after Margo fight:

Sebastian Lujan after Margo fight:
The type of injury that Lujan sustained is not typical in boxing or even in the UFC (where they use smaller gloves) for that matter.
Re: Margarito on Saturday
It's a good fight to tell us where Margarito is at... Paez is VERY beatable as shown by Vivian Harris who defeated him in 2014.

Also got totally outboxed from distance with the jab by up and coming Ocampo.

Paez Jr is now a Mx Gatekeeper... losing to Margarito would consolidate that status and probably would mean lots more defeats to other tough up and coming Mexicans. A win for Paez Jr means more opportunities for big paydays and probably better matchmaking in his favor.
Body work and busy hands for Paez will be key here

It will be interesting to see which Margarito shows up...

Margarito hasn't fought in 52 months and in his last 4 fights, he won only vs Garcia...Losing to Mosley, Pacquiao & Cotto.

Margarito should have enough to defeat Paez otherwise he should retire for good

Re: Margarito on Saturday
- Some basic undeniable facts about Marg:
He was busted wearing commish approved wraps with the other insert on the table in plain sight waiting to be wrapped.
The inserts were plaster crumbles, hardly the stuff that makes punches harder. His trainer could have used playdough or gummie bears and be just as illegal.
BALCO Mosley's trainer Brother Naz was notorious for making opponents rewrap, no changes there.
Marg had eye surgery two weeks before the fight, so he couldn't work out or train down properly and had to starve himself down to nothing. He never fought at 147 again.
Mosley was considered done with Margo the big betting fav. Any bets placed by fans were too late to be pulled when all this came out.
Cotto was wearing commish approved wraps as well, so is he a cheat? They were never checked.

Undeniable facts??? For you to spin that Margarito not doing anything wrong makes you as pathetic as the illegal act itself. Margarito was caught with a plaster type insert in his wraps that was illegal. It was a hard plaster-type block, as Naz Richardson called it as it fell out. I can't see why he would lie, or the California commissioner that checked how hard the insert was after Naz pointed it out to him. Naz suspected something was up the way Margarito would hit guys on top of the head or their elbows with no affect to his hands. Play dough or gummy bears? Why would he use anything if it had no effect?
I don't even believe his trainer about the eye surgery before the fight because in the same interview he lied about the illegal wraps, saying they just re-wrapped because they were too high. Margarito, his trainers, and now your credibility are nothing but trash.

Somebody needs to take out this heaping, steaming, wreaking bag of garbage. If Paez Jr. beat that piece of East LA by way of Tijuana fecal matter into a pulp with a Louisville Slugger I would consider it a good win.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote:- Some basic undeniable facts about Marg:

This guy tried to fight with plaster in his gloves and we're still discussing his career in the present tense.

Re: Margarito on Saturday
Margarito won by UD. Hopefully this turns into a positive by that piece of crap getting in the ring with someone who can punish him proper.

No matter, the less than manly and lowbrow have always been as prominent in a dirty sport as the reformers and gentlemen only ask for FairPlay.
Watching you throw marg who wore Cali commish approved wraps under the bus while propping up Balco Mosley is pure comedy. Keep em coming junior.
Re: Margarito on Saturday
Margarito had a TUE for his wraps so it's all good.

I have no doubt the Cali commish approved the wraps, but for some stupid reason you fail to mention the illegal wrap plaster inserts that were illegal. Mosley admitted his wrongdoing for himself with peds even though he was never caught, but Margarito and his trainers lied about it. I'm not saying peds is any better or worse than what Margarito did. I have always been in favor of a life-time ban for anyone caught with illegal peds or wraps, period. It will never stop if all they do is slap them on the wrist. Mosley included.
Go ahead though.....say as many times as you want that Margarito did nothing wrong. Eventually you will find some other dumbass to join you.

I agree. I would life ban PED users as well. A boxer on PEDs can inflict more brain damage than the same fighter without.jamesmcdonnell wrote:What's annoying too, is the effect that beating had on Cotto, he's always marked up incredibly easily since that fight, which has hindered him in the long term.

A life ban would certainly send the right message. When Floyd got busted for his illegal IV-drip solution, since he was retiring anyway, it could have been a great chance to make a huge statement by giving the top star a life-ban. Drug cheats get away too easy, Margarito, especially after the Resto case, got off waaay too easily. Although i guess he was never actually caught using the wraps, maybe it would have been a different case.
Re: Margarito on Saturday
Floyd didn't get busted for anything illegal. He fought once more after that....so it wasn't about him retiring. Now, if it was Pacquiao you were talking about at least one mod would probably ban you for making slanderous statements. Just let Floyd be retired and don't bring his name up. Making up lies makes you look even dumber than you are.Ricky_ wrote:keithmoonhangover wrote:I agree. I would life ban PED users as well. Hold on a minute, you want a ban for drug cheats... but when it comes to Floyd breaking the rules, it gets swept under the carpet? Typical really for a sad-sack like yourself.
Why would it be Pacquaio i was talking about, did he get caught using a prohibited IV? If Pacquiao ever gets caught failing a drug test or using illegal methods then ban him by all means, but you're right, until he gets busted like Floyd did, it's just conjecture and slander.
And the revelations of Floyd's illegal IV solution hit days before the Berto exhibition, so realistically any punishment would have come after that fight if he didn't have NSAC in his pocket.
A lifetime ban would have sent a great message, that even the top earner in the sport isn't above the doping rules and regulations - but unfortunately, he is.
