i do too, but i see keeler winning on points, his hand was broken for their first fight if i remember correctly, i think he broke it in the quarters of the prize fighter and fought doran in the semis. fully fit i think keeler win win on points dropping doran along the way :bag:

Not seen a lot of Keeler but Doran has been dropped a few times. First fight I watched with him was with Max Maxwell a few years back and he was dropped but got up to win by KO.

Had this been set at 160?
Hope Doran makes weight comfortably.

I see Doran winning this quite impressively. He's improved immensely in the last year or so.

I've always liked Doran. Don't know much about Keeler. I remember reading a thing a while ago about Doran as a prospect but I hadn't seen him fight. Shortly after he boxed Max Maxwell on Eurosport I think? Was down heavily in the first and came back to win impressively. He had a quality about him that you don't see in many fighters. I'm surprised he's not had more exposure. I won a few quid on him when he won PFighter.

Tom has gone from almost playing at the sport to unbelievably dedicated. Changed his diet, now has a qualified strength conditioning coach onboard (instead of just lifting few weights in gym) and is training full time. Dont forget before prizefighter he'd been out the ring 3 years (apart from 1 contest) working in the aerospace industry having become disillusioned with the sport.
Had he not been given shot in prizefighter i reckon he may have knocked it on head again. He had a fight scheduled around november 2014 time, 2 or 3 days before the promoter pulled him off the show as he hadnt sold enough tickets!

Prizefighter gave him the boost and opportunity to go "proper professional" .

Doran remains the only prizefighter winner to have not had a British title shot (i think).

Did ask him about the weight...
What happened with the weight? Seen some comments about You being way over, 10lbs heavier, how did this affect the fight and can you still make 160 comfortably

Hope he makes it well. Last time he made 160 was the maxwell fight.
Prizefighter was set at 162 if memory serves me correct.
Like you I feel his switch to full time pro will help immensely.

Biggest change ive seen is the introduction of a dedicated strength and conditioning coach.

Proof will be in the pudding, great match up, winner must get brit title shot.

Fact he's irish even cross my mind :KO:

Tom probably has to win 2 on bounce then, although could see eubank jnr winning and vacating without defending leaving door open for Doran.

Etches, Langford, Matthews and Ryder also knocking on the door of a British shot. Good domestic division.

The board put him in a British title eliminator after pf.and he failed to make the weight nothing to do with tickets. Also not every pf winner has had a title shot. Doran had 1 fight after a 3 year layoff before pf hardly deserving of a straight title shot. His signed to match room his chance will come sud he keep winning

I've he'd proven he could of made the middleweight limit I reckon he'd of got his shot.

With Coldwell and Matchroom behind him and a nutrionist on board I expect him to get back on track.

Dublin’s Keeler tipped the scales at a career-trimmest 159.5lbs for the WBC International title fight.

Doran, who somewhat infamously missed weight by a massive 7lbs last year for a fight with Rod Smith, also made the middleweight limit and came in at 158.25lbs.

I was panicking about Tom on the scales.

He looked great. Having a nutritionalist seems to of really helped.

Really tough fight this but I fancy Doran to nick it on points.

Doran is very dangerous when hurt. He seems to have exceptional powers of recovery.

Keeler was exposed badly though. Poor chin, porous defense. Absolutely no survival skills whatsoever, no holding or buying time, he was just firing back and leaving himself wide open to big shots.

Doran looks slow footed but carries power, is very game and throws lots of shots. I could see how Keeler could possibly have won the fight but he would have needed to be very smart and stick to a gameplan. Have much more respect for Dorans recovery powers and punching power also. Lunging in and getting caught with the counter left hook and dropped was really something you'd see in an amateur boxing contest. It happened directly after the knockdown and then again in the second round. Poor from Keeler getting dropped like that.

Doran has a lot of upside though, it's not clear how good he actually is. We don't really know what he beat there. Keeler looks very flawed.

That was an entertaining shootout, Doran got dropped hard and recovered really well, Keeler lost his cool and kept trying for the big overhand right.

What a first round and entertaining fight - a complete shoot-out!

Keeler got things going with a booming right hand, a great shot - credit to Doran getting up more or less straight away after such a heavy shot, showed great powers of recovery and I'd say a good bit of that has to come down to the fact he's taking the sport more seriously now.

From being put down, hurt and backed up against the ropes... the left hook to get Keeler going was a real tidy shot. Keeler was heavy handed in there last night, but he became to gung-ho.... Doran who himself was also going for it, was doing so with the better selection of shots and that was the difference.

When Keeler jumped in with the right hand I believe in the second round, the left hook Doran timed him with was an absolute beauty.
