Hopefully it goes ahead....it's a fight I've wanted to see for years. If Deontay wins he proves a lot of people wrong.

He proves the majority of this board wrong by walking the aisle, much less in Russia.

I wish there would have been a betting line on Wilder taking this fight. He wants it.

I'll believe it when he actually gets into the ring and not a second before.

It's not like it's Golovkin or Kovalev.

Exactly too much can happen between now and then. Wilder just tweeted that he has lost his passport.

I really can't have an educated opinion. I haven't watched povetkin in ages. Maybe since Huck. I'll watch this tho. Wilder is fun.

I don't doubt he does, there's a lot of money to be made in this fight, and like all fighters he is all about the $$$.
I just hope Haymons people allow him to take the risk. They haven't shown a great deal of faith in him so far, hopefully they show a bit now.
Stylewise, it should be a decent fight.

Russia would be good in Grozny would be even better.
I still slightly favour Povetkin though.

I don't think it would be in Grozny since Povetkin is not Muslim and has no connection to Chechnya. Thank god, since I do not need to see that POS Kadyrov running around ringside and giving fighters pep talks and massages between rounds.

What if Russians decide to do it in Sevastopol which most of the world including the U.S. still recognizes as a Ukranian territory ? That would make a decision whether to go there even trickier for Wilder.

maybe if we're lucky there could be a massacre or another passenger
plane getting shot down or some incident that causes the fight to get
canceled. i doubt it would have any effect on wilder showing up, though.
