All others Briggs fought were KOed in the first round.

Briggs currently has a higher boxrec rating as David Haye, it's simple as that.
David Price has a higher Boxrec rathing than either of them so do you think he should be up for a shot before them both?
Actually yes I do, they have to fight themself above Price.
Briggs-Price would be quite a nice match up for the moment actually wouldn't it?
I think that would be a brilliant fight.

But in terms of a shot at Big Daddy Haye gets it first for various reasons more important that the Boxrec ratings.

BoxRec has Canelo as no1 p4p fighter on the planet! Says it all.
He probably is, somehow some people got more pounds as others, so win anyway.
A mouse is a better fighter as an elephant in every single way, somehow he doesn't weight 15.000 pounds, but 0,15.
Canelo is not in any way the best p4p fighter on the planet mate. Have a word with yourself.

 I can't believe I've just read that. What a strange comment, accompanied by an equally strange analogy.

Oh well, hopefully we get to hear Counter-puncher's reaction to that assertion...

TBH I got no idea about the dwarffights, that's straight away why you can't take anything below heavyweights really serious.
It's pretty much the same as those people who claim the have the strongest toddler, or people who say an ant is many, many times stronger as a human.
I don't really care about the P2p, heavyweights are the best boxers for me and I don't really care if others prefere to watch dwarfs.
Some people also prefere the paralympics above the Olympics, or the woman football above men football, that's their choice, have fun with it.

Really who does Haye think he is ,, he pulled out of fights , refused to fight in the last one he did'nt pull out of , beats a guy my granny could beat in his return fight , and people are talking like he's the man . On top of that IF he managed to score a fight with Brown , he would want the lions share of the purse

If i was Brown i would be shouting for a AJ or Fury fight
I would be facing a Chisora, Price or Whyte in the UK and a Scott, Tarver, Stiverne or Briggs in the US once I've disposed of Oquendo.
Then pimp myself out to the highest bidder. Either Wilder stateside or AJ, Fury or Haye in the UK maybe even Parker in Oz...
That would be my retirement plan...
That would be good matchmaking if you were to go down that track , But i really don't think Brown has the skills to beat most of them , i would be chasing that retirement money fight , If he loses he out of the money , Haye in all honesty i would stay well away from , because if he's on form he will beat Brown easy , if he's not on form well who knows , and at the moment he has'nt shown anything , so you just don't know , classic too much risk not enough money ,, AJ or Fury would be better money if it could happen , and a easier call ,, BROWN LOSES UNLESS HE LANDS THE KILLER PUNCH , WHICH I DOUBT HE WOULD DO ,, But in any case lose to any of them two and he's still in for decent paydays with Haye or WHOEVER .

I sincerely hope Haye doesn't just wonder back in after all this time of semi-retirement and get an opportunity like this.

TBF though G,its a bogus title and anyones deserving of a shot because whoever holds it isnt a champ anyhow,if he walked into a shot with Fury then fair enough but Regular belt is on a par with the Intercontinental and International belts.......or at least they should be

No offence mate but you aren't really playing with a full deck are you? One flew over the cuckoos nest.... I don't know if you are at the wind up or if you are burning the crack pipe at both ends..... Very strange.

That must be the most ludicrous tournament I've ever seen. Oquendo only has to have one fight to reach the final against one of the weaker guys in the tournament but the current wba champion has 2 fights to get to the final of a tournament where he already holds the belt?

I've no time for any of the Awarding bodies but the wba make the others look credible. What a joke. If I was Fury I'd tell them to stick their tournament.
Agree with your point about how silly it is that Oquendo is in this position, but it shows the power of having a half-decent lawyer - Oquendo got that as part of the resolution of legal action arising from his fight with Chagaev. See http://www.BS.com/ryabinsky-he ... ute--91887

Asdfjkl certainly has a way with words.
Not sure he understands many of them or is quite sure why he used some if them in the same sentence as a few others.
But he has a way with them

To be honest, Haye represents a great payday for Browne, and he nothing to lose. I'm sure his team don't expect him to dominate the division - Haye clearly brings punters to the fray, and therefore it's very lucrative if they can negotiate a great deal.

I expect the fight to happen personally.

I know. I just don't like Haye, and I don't want to see him succeed even slightly in his return. I want nothing out of his comeback except more losses for him personally. One of my least favorite fighters

Browne realistically has one huge payday from a top dog (Fury, Wilder, Joshua, Haye) and he more then likely loses.
His team need to negotiate him the best deal possible while he still holds the title.
Then its back to Oz for a homecoming fight with Parker, then retirement.
Browne shouldn't be worrying about money again if he plays his cards right...

He fought Mark the Mori, who's currently rank 123, so there are many, many boxers below them.

God, have you got shares in Briggs or something?

Haye has been largely inactive, but his recent form is clearly better than Briggs.

This is such a ludicrous concept. They think they're going to have a final showdown in Dec 2016/Jan 2017? I'm not even convinced they'll have the Klitchko/Fury rematch by then! Let alone, two further fights. And what is going on with the balance of this knock-out tournament? One of Klitchko/Fury/Ortiz (sorry Ustinov) fights Lucas Browne (sorry Oqeundo) for the WBA HW belt? Farcical

Also what they don't seem to understand is that as holder of another belt, Fury/Klitchko will have WBO obligations also, and will also likely to be keen to unify the WBC with a fight against Wilder. All I see happening here is that Fury gets stripped of ANOTHER belt, as he pursues Wilder, and then eventually Joshua. I'd say the WBA would be worse off for it, and they deserve it for such a ridiculous idea

Oh and I know English isn't your first language, but FYI, you're confusing 'as' and 'than' in a lot of your posts, i.e. 'Briggs has fought better fighters in the last three years as Haye'
