I personally like Barrera in this fight. Deep amateur background, power in both hands, mixes his punches nicely, and very motivated.
I think the ring rust finally catches up to Ward, inactivity can really hurt a fighter, especially with the high amount of inactivity that Ward has recently subjected himself to, be it legal reasons or discomfort in his knee.
Abel Sanchez has done some nice work with Barrera and the results have shown.
Barrera may be the man to upset the apple cart... Remember, anybody can be beat.

I think Ward wins this rather easily probably by a wide points decision.
Ward needs a big fight and to venture outside of Oakland once in a while.

I think emotion and denial is pretty rampant on here when it comes to Ward. The Barrera fight is a good one, solid opponent, but just another victim.
