Burns is already listed on boxrec as fighting for WBA, so safe to say its likely to be that

I absolutely love the concept of making an announcement that there is to be an announcement :D I wonder, does it apply to any other walk of life or is it unique to boxing?

Reckon it's about time McDonnell had a match announced. Maybe McDonnell vs Haskins in a unification?

Probably Crolla v Barroso. He said in an IFL interview last week that would be announced this week.

He wouldn't just announce it, he'd announce he's going to announce it first.

It won't be that but that's a good shout. I'd love to see that. Good earner for the two of them :TU:

Neither sell tickets. Jamie earns well on the road.

Surely a fight between the two of them would sell?

Not sure mate. I've written off McDonnell a few times and been proved wrong so I wouldn't rule him out again. Haskins has an awkward style but if McDonnell could keep him at range then it's an easy win for him I reckon.

Nah, for me it's a 50-50 fight. McDonnell has proved himself as a world level fighter by beating Kameda and Julio Ceja as well as decent wins over solid Euro level fighters like Hall and Jamoye. Lee Haskins hasn't, good win over Iwasa but he's yet to prove himself against world level opposition whereas McDonnell has.

Apparently there is some big money in boxing in Japan now so I could see that happening.
