YouTube Boxing Channels

Post by Gambler »

What are some of the boxing channels that you guys follow on YouTube? There's quite a few out there, and I'm sure most of you recognize some: ESNews, Fight-hype, Fighthub, iFL TV, ThaBoxingVoice, Dontae'sBoxingNation, BoxingEgo, Michelle Joy Phelps, 78SportsTV, TstreetControversy, etc.

I wanna ask in particular about Dontae's Boxing Nation. Does anyone here have any opinions about this channel? Anyone follow it? It seems to be the most controversial boxing channel out there. Would be great to hear some reviews/comments about it.

Anyways let me know what you follow (if any) and be sure to share your comments and opinions about them.

loool no I'm not Dontae .

But I'm really just curious about the consensus about this channel. The main reason being is that I watch this channel the most. I'm on the fence about it. I can't make up my mind whether or not I should continue to watch it. On one hand the channel is filled with bias; overt obsession/commentary on race and race-relations; and seemingly racist (usually african-american) fans in the comments section. But on the flip side, its very entertaining to watch the drama. The whole channel is built on it. It makes the channel unique since that's how it differentiates itself from other channels.

On the topic of Youtube channels, I use to watch Ellie Seckbach's stuff. But honestly, I couldn't continue with it. He is a poor interviewer, extremely redundant, and floods his channel with 50 new videos a day. He needs to organize his channel, and maybe start vlogging rather than spamming 20 different 3-minute clips in a span of 5 hours. His channel has a lot of potential, but he is bad at being effective and marketing himself.

Other than that most of the channels out there seem boring and dull. ThaBoxingVoice has some nice exclusive insider videos here and there. But other than that, the YouTube boxing scene is still in its early stages and has a lot of room for improvement. Right now everyone is just doing the same thing, uploading the same interviews, with the same questions, with the same format, etc.

I've caught the odd video of Dontae before, you're right, he does throw the race card in at every opportunity.
I'm not a big fan of the 'vloggers' who just rabbit on at a camera giving opinions.
I prefer the guys who predominantly do interviews IFL, Fighthub, Seconds out, Michelle Joy Phelps etc.....
Even ES News (even though Seckbach is a bit of a melon).

radio rahim and kugan cassius do very
well in interviews. elli seckbach is not
my type of moderator. dontae has really
great women you need to give him that.
but it is a little too flashy and trying too
hard being rapper style cool for my taste.

I just browse through actual fight videos. Once in a while I open one of these channels looking for a fight video. I can't be bothered watching these know-nothings ramble on with their barely intelligible reviews and mindless comments. Half the time I can't tell if these guys even speak English.
